Why does he tease me about my weight'?

My crush and I started off as good friends and it had seemed like in that friendship he gained some feelings for me but I didn't like him at the time. He's always teased me a Little but the weight jokes started when I was talking about wanted to wear a two piece for the summer but I told him I have to lose weight, so he started calling me one piece and It would embarrass me so he kept on doing it and it escalated I guess.

He often teases me about my weight like making remarks like about how much I weigh and little chubby jokes like you ate real good on Thanksgiving and squeezes my arms sometimes he'll say Katy there's no gym for you huh.

he always says it jokingly and I usually laugh but it stings a little but I don't think he's trying to hurt me I think he says it because he wants a reaction from me but I'm not sure maybe he does it because he wants me to lose weight. Do you think he has a problem with my weight I'm not too fat just a little thicker than most girls like big thighs and a bubble stomach.

or is all the teasing because he likes me. I always catch him staring at me or am I reading into nothing.

He's a jerk but I already starting liking him.

Obviously he isn't thrilled with your weight. Most guys prefer slender women.

But on the flip side, if he isn't in great shape himself he has no room to talk.

And if you crush on a person who verbally abuses you, you might want to figure out why you allow for that. I agree with others who say get him out of your life. But also take the next step in figuring out why you allow yourself to like someone who is rude to you so you can avoid putting yourself in this situation again. As they say "It takes two to tango" and you ought to take some ownership over the fact you picked this guy and learn how to make better choices in the future.

Completely ignore him whenever he makes these jokes. No expression whatsoever. Don't smile. Don't laugh. Don't get upset. Just ignore him. He'll stop eventually.

I don't know. He could be doing it to just tease you. But constantly insulting a woman regarding her weight is NOT the right way to tease her.
