A girl at work told me that "I am a catch" and another day said "you're cute" but she doesn't show interest?

I never understood her. why would a girl call me these things but never wanting to actually see if we would be good for each other. I'm not saying that we would be, as I do not see her anymore. but why would a girl say things like this and not want you?

I forgot to mention in the question that she already had a boyfriend and she knew him from way back in school like 2nd grade kind of thing. so I think they knew each other anyway. and its not like I would try to take her away from her boyfriend anyways.

She may think you are a good catch either for her, would be a good catch for some girl out there or would be a good catch for her but not at this point time (for whatever reason) It is also quite possible that she is interested and by saying those things was dropping hints for you to make a move. Was she single? If by chance she was not interested she must have meant it in a general sort of way.

Oh okay, well yeah that is understandable if she was interested but could not act on it. So I would file that under good catch, but not at that point and time due to being involved.

Both can be typical friend zone phrases, so it's hard to tell if she actually has any interest in you.
