Do I forget I met the guy or give him time and contact him again?

I met this guy online 3 wks ago. We have talked everyday, sexting included. He lives in a different city than me. We agreed to meet each other I would visit him 1st since he has 2 kids. I purchased my travel (hotel and flight) and everything was fine until 2 days before my trip he all of sudden went MIA and I couldn't get a refund so had to take the trip. I was is disappointed but also surprised because I totally didn't see it coming. I texted him that I was totally not mad at all which I'm not I'm more concerned about what happened. I'm sure I was a little naive by going to see someone I just met 3 wks ago but it honestly at the time felt right. The question is now do I just move on and forget I met the guy or do I give him time and try to contact him again?

Sorry to be blunt... Yea pretty naive to buy a plane ticket to meet a guy you've been talking to for a 3 weeks. Not only talking but sexting. You only sext with people you don't want a relationship with. Unless, the only exception, you do it with someone you've been in a relationship for awhile (At least 6 months of exclusive dating). Anything else is the equivalent to having sex on the first date. And you aren't special to this guy he was probably doing it with lots of women from the dating site.

I will also add that he probably liked the distance. I'm guessing he is in a relationship and never thought someone would fly to see him. He is just looking for a sexting person, not an actual relationship.

Delete/block him from the dating site, phone, Facebook and where ever else you might see him. He won't contact you again. You should forget him and move on, a lot slower with the next guy if you want a romantic relationship. Now if you just want a f*** buddy they keep doing what you're doing.
