You're going to need to be a lot more specific about how much you weigh, and how you're currently eating (assuming its you). Also, how much you CAN control what you eat and what kind of workouts, how often, and so on.
If you're in good shape but put on some fat, you can lose a lot very fast, because you are fit enough to do intense exercise.

It depends. To do it in a healthy way? To lose fat, or lose anything? Do you give a crap what state your body will be in afterwards? Does it matter if the weight comes back immediately, plus a few extra pounds?
Most crash diets can lose water weight, but not fat. This means it comes back quickly.
Severe weight loss programs can screw up your metabolism in the long run. Low protein diets can mean your body consumes its own muscle mass, including your heart muscle.
If you go to the gym daily I'd bet you could lose 3 pounds a week. If you want to do it in 3-4 times a week I bet you could lose a pound a week. If you eat right and whatnot.
If you aren't overweight are you sure you want to LOSE weight or just tone?

when I was in basic training I lost about 5 to 7 pounds. depends on what you do and how much you do to lose it.
I lost over 30 lbs in 4 to 5 weeks, so yes it is possible but it all depends on what you do.
