There is enough Gold in the main base for 24 workers to mine. There is enough Oil for 10 workers in the main, and trees for lumber are everywhere.
The expands also have enough gold for 24 workers and enough oil for 5 workers.
If a player takes 2 expands, he could end up with 72 workers on Gold, 36+ on wood, and up to 20 on oil. is this too much economy?
Workers harvest 10 resources per worker per turn.
Of course, in a video game, if I convert it to a video game, I can limit Gold so that it eventually runs out, then it might not be worth it to have 72 workers at once. What do you think?

No, but people would have to buy into the concept.
Yeah, I know right. Most RTS and turn-based strategy games stop at around 80 to 100 workers.
Lords of Magic used to have 128 workers per city, so as you captured enemy cities you could ramp up to nearly 1000 workers.
I think people can manage this, and at worst I could scale back the Gold on one or both expansions per player.
