There is no "single" reason. I know plenty of guys who fit all of these, but mostly C and F. Personally I really want a successful marriage, but I have my own reasons.

Men have more options because women are competing for them more. Successful marriage is becoming a social distinction and achievement for women the way sleeping around used to be for men.

Why are women competing for women more?
Why is it seen as more of a social distinction? Surely that would increase mens interest in marriage?
More of a social distinction for women. It's easier for desirable men to get sex without marriage, there is no social stigma attached to it at all any more.
Sorry to jump in, but I figured I would explain why it's more of a social distinction for women. For women, marriage is definitely something that raises a woman up. It's much harder to live as a singleton as a woman. I know from experience, I can't afford an apartment on my own. And it's really hard to purchase a property alone too. So having a spouse would make that much more easier.
Plus if you are a single woman, you get left out of social events with friends as they couple off. It's really hard. Again I've been here. I've had friends who basically have no interest in me now that they are married because I'm not married. I guess they think I have nothing in common with them.
Plus society as a whole puts a lot of pressure on women to marry and have kids.
Men however get a pass. They aren't as pressured to settle down and get married. I'm sure your friends don't care if you are married or not, unlike with women.
@Darkfairie17 @prettygirly91 And as the pressure on men decreases fewer of them want relationships and the more their market power increases ever fewer of them are interested because they become more sought after. Add to that most women want a man as successful and educated as themselves and more of them are becoming successful and educated and so fewer men are in the pool of desirable men. Marriage become ever more of a distinction and accomplishment.
A little but of all of them, but mostly the laws and no rewards from marrying. I've seen what happens in marriage 90 percent of the time, even within my own family, and I won't let that happen to me. Especially because I don't believe in love.
nine percentage points? how do you know that's not an error? lots of women wait till at least late twenties to get married now, so I'm skeptical someone as young as 18 would vote for that.

I see very little to be gained and a lot to lose from marriage. It just doesn't interest me, besides why should I want to get married simply because society says we should? It seems silly to me - must I promise by law to be with someone I love? How ridiculous.
I think that since men aren’t looking for marriage as much women have to chase it even harder now. Marriage still mostly benefits the woman. So basically women aren’t more interested in marriage, they’re just as interested as before, except men are losing interest.

If those statistics are factual, then it might have something to do with the marriage/divorce laws favouring women.
I can't say why men are losing interest in it I am one of the men who looks forward to marriage.
You could put a nice down payment down on a house for 30,000. I've yet to meet a woman who is responsible with money.
Because men need to marry a GIRL and women need to marry a MAN. (unless they're gay.)
Oh, so there has been a male reaction to feminism?
Gosh, what a surprise!
(Offers knuckle bump)
because it is beneficial to woman. law, people and everything supports the woman so men don't like that ideas.
Why buy the cow when you get the milk free lol
What?
When did this happen? O. o
Over the last 15 years or so according to the study.
I thought women were much more into marriage up until the 70's.
Yeah, I get why men are less interested but curious why women are more interested.
Can you think of a reason?
Nope...

I see no reason to be married. Nine times out of ten, I'll get screwed. I'd rather die alone.
In a nushell, E & F.
I just see it as a waste of good money
supply and demand?
More true than most people would like to believe. So much comes down to supply and demand.
