The only difference with doing it legally and or just doing it without a marriage license is you both own half of each others stuff and the other is just a promise and vow that you will love each other
Yup. What exactly is the point of marriage and that paper lol. Does it make your love stronger magical? And then ends up with a very expensive divorce many times.
Then wrote it down on a paper lol. Frame it if you like. People marry all the time, "commit" then divorce. So , that person doesn't change much. Loyalty over a price of silly paper , that was invented to control people and make extra cash lol
firstly, you're dealing with people who don't want to commit. marriage is the ultimate sign of commitment, not some random BS talk about commitment.
secondly, its significantly easier to leave a relationship when there is no divorce process involved. Married people try harder to make the relationship work before they divorce. Because the process of divorce is long, expensive and complicated and troublesome
Just sayin marriage is hypocritical. It's supposed to be "till death due you part". See it's all fake b. s. . People even get married too fast. People just plain suck. Yes exactly, people do break up. Definitely hard and expensive to divorce. And yes some people do they to stay together, one even force to stay with each other even if no more love, all in the name of religion. So what happened to these peoples "commitments"? Its on paper like you said.
People do not realize they are not really for each other. People marry quickly. Or people want to feel like a process for the day. Lol. Relationship are a lot of work and connections.
yea but at the end of the day, marriage makes two people more determined to work things out than two people who won't commit to each other because they want an easy escape route once things go wrong.
In certain cultures, people marry in their early 20s and end up being married for the rest of their lives. Jewish people and indians are examples of such cultures
Nowadays in america, people date around as long as possible trying to find their soulmate. Then they find "the one" they want to marry. 15 years into the marriage, they say they married the wrong person. So now they want to divorce.
There is no such thing as marrying the right person. There is no such thing as a right person. It all boils down to how much you are willing to make thr marriage work

Absolutely. Why does signing a piece of paper automatically mean I love someone more. You can love someone just as much without marrying. Marriage is a scam. Only reason to get married nowadays is because filing taxes is easier.
@Sasha0426 no... it's the fact that she could let's her call all the shots. I see this in essentially all married relationships except a select few. Whereas I'm not married and I've always had girls rely on me to call the shots for the household and it's been quite smooth and enjoyable for me, I'm not interested in giving control to a woman.
@Sasha0426 well I mean my girlfriend bought a bunch of stuff at the store and I made her return it because I'd didn't fit with the budget for the household. She said ill just spend the extra I don't care and I said no and made her return it anyways.
Just having the final say on disagreements basically. I observe most married couples is always the woman.
No they should have a say. I'm just the one who makes the decision. They mostly had family that guided them. Or they just did it themselves but preferred not to.

No, it's a legal state with some important consequences.

Talk about Commitment is meaningless unless you are WILLING to sign the marriage certificate
Anyone can just say they are commited. But you're not truly committed unless you sign the certificate
Then wrote it down on a paper lol. Frame it if you like. People marry all the time, "commit" then divorce. So , that person doesn't change much. Loyalty over a price of silly paper , that was invented to control people and make extra cash lol
if you think that people who marry divorce too much, what makes you think people who never marry break up LESS?
if people who commit divorce too much, I would expect that people who never want to marry WILL BREAK UP EVEN MORE.

Not to me. That paper is a true legal document that states my wife and I are married together and to each other. Just our two names. ❤️❤️🙂
Marriage is something beautiful because it unites two different people
Marriage is a whole commitment on loving. Just a piece of paper can't be a commitment.
Saying you're committed means nothing if you're UNWILLING to sign the marriage certificate.
Saying anything can mean nothing. Doing it is different.
If you do not believe in God and reject the limits that have been put on you, then yes, it seems like just a piece of paper.
No, it's a three party contract between the couple and the state in which the state can unilaterally alter the terms and conditions.
Always has been and always will be. It does nothing except make things legal.
Obviously there is so much value to a committed marriage beyond the legal.

Yeah. Why do people feel the need to trap themselves in fake intimacy with the law? Fucking weirdos.
Fake intimacy? Since when was marriage fake intimacy?
When the government I'd involved yes. But in the church its a Godly union and commitment
Not only. This piece of paper is a contract entitling the wife to her husbands money. Effective by divorce.
Yes, it is. So is a death certificate, a court order, and many other unpleasant things.
Legal piece of paper entitling a woman to your money. That's about it.
Did your mom get your dad’s money?

What do you consider as calling the shots?

I mean, if your partner has a spending problem, I can see that. Especially, if you’re on a budget.
@Sasha0426 but it's with anything. Married men are 99% of the time what's called "whipped".
In other words, you don’t want women to have a say? You want us to be silent?
I’m curious, how did those women get by on their own before meeting you?
Honestly, I would hate to date you because I would feel like I’m being controlled and you’re treating me as if I’m your child.
No they should have a say. I'm just the one who makes the decision. They mostly had family that guided them. Or they just did it themselves but preferred not to.
NO dear not at all... it comes with responsibilties / respect for each other
Nope, it's just a bunch of zeroes and ones.
yep and court evidence maybe
