:-P
I'm off the hook this year because Valentine's Day falls on Ash Wednesday XD
That's why flowers exist.
If my girlfriend tells me she doesn't want anything for Valentine's Day, she'll still get flowers.
That way, she's either happy that I got her something, or I can just tell her those are because I love her, and appreciate the fact that she makes my life that much better.
I dare her to try and get pissed about that. 😁
That's usually code for..."you better buy me flowers and chocolates mf and I'll be all surprised". lol
I think valentines day is bs anyway so I'm a hundred percent serious when a say he doesn't have to get me anything. It's a nice surprise yes, but if i say something like that i exoect to receive nothing and I'm fine with that.
No see, you are misunderstanding what we are saying.
I mean, make a choice. You don’t have to get me anything. The worlds not gonna end because you don’t but I never said I’d be ok with it. It’s not hard to figure out.
It's hard. You should always say what you mean. Say "don't ask me what to get me! I want to be surprised!"... i wouldn't think that's a bad answer.
Ok, so a guy has to figure this out on his own, i get it. And if he does, that's awesome. But seriously: if he doesn't, that's also ok. He's just not awesome then. But don't make him feel confused only because he didn't get a hidden message that only like super awesome guys get.
Kniw what i mean?
@Duke1985 I think it’s pretty clear
Note the difference in these two statements
You don’t have to get me anything.
It’s a factual statement and is absolutely true, further it denotes an opportunity for you to make a choice.
“ Don’t get me anything”
This is a directive. A statement of requirement that doesn’t leave you any opportunity but to not get us a gift unless it is directly contrary to what we say.
Anytime a woman leaves you a choice to make, and this is doubly true for any woman who you are currently wishing to or actually fucking...,, always go with the choice that has the opportunity for upside and never fall for the suckers choice. Why? Cuz when you fall for the suckers choice we look at you and say “he’s a sucker” .
Depends I say it to friends cus I just appreciate hanging with them or doing something special with them, but a boyfriend is a little different, tho it also matter how long the relationship is/has been so far

Well im gonna be extremely real and tell my husband that i really mean it when i say if you love me you can get me somethung if you dont love me you dont need to get me anything. But i love you so i will definitely get you something.
I mean it. I never expect money to be spent. I wouldn’t mind something special though. Even if it’s an evening listening to music together or a walk or ride around town. Movies at home and cuddling or a kiss. Really not too picky lol
It's just a thing you would say out of courtesy. Most women try not to expect gifts, but secretly feel forgotten about when they don't recieve anything.
I never asked my ex anything because he is struggling financially even on Valentine's day he couldn't even give me a rose and I never got angry but he cheated me after supporting and loving him so much
No, please get us things :) we say that to be polite. However, if she really articulates that she doesn't want anything, I would try for something small but meaningful
I told my boyfriend he doesn't have to get me anything and I meant it, I'd be okay with just spending the day with him. I'm not a really materialistic person.
He doesn't have to but I will be happy if he did, I like surprises
We still can do something special on Valentine's day
I definitely mean it when I say it haha, Valentine's day is stupid, why not love your bf/gf/spouse/etc everyday
I mean it but id still guess you would bring something if we are dating. If just friends then i really dont care.
None of us mean it. It means, freakin get me something damn special that I can't even think of or else...
She probably means you're not obligated to buy her something. Still I'd be nice if you give her something.
I never say that coz once my grandma offered me cash (she rarely did) for doing errands for her (carrying trolley full of cans and I declined to be polite and she kept it. So I'm not polite anymore.
I say what I mean and I mean what I say. Men and women who do not are immature, Game players, and a whole lot of drama. Stay clear!
Yep. Yes it's disappointing when I don't but I feel worse when I get them.
i mean it... if you get me something thats up to you
I mean it if I where to tell someone that. But a surprise would be nice
You have to buy her double of whatever you just thought of not purchasing.
If I say that you don't have to buy me something, I 100% mean it.
I feel i don't deserve anything from him cause he just throws it in my face later
It means 'buy me chocolate'.
