You should be able to swim enough to survive. Just push your body up and dont panic your way down. If you can't swim to save them then go get help and hope they recover from mouth to mouth resistatiion

But let's simplify it and take the life and death stakes out of it. If it came down to your or your loved ones happiness or that of a complete stranger would choose the stranger? Or someone you care about?

At the end of the day I have to answer to my family and I'm the scenario you have I'd also have to answer to her family. If you've ever had to be in the situation of telling someone you love their child is dead you would do anything in your power to not do that again.

Read my update. Im always putting a kid first, stranger or not. And thats before anyone in my family whos not a kid. Now if its a strangers kid over my own kid, theyre both kids and i therefore go to save my own kid firsy

Yes but i was a kid at the time. My sis was a kid and so was the drowning kid. We were all kids and i saved my sis first. At the time i couldnt even swim well but i attempted to go down and save the other kid. I swam too deep and couldnt breathe and just swam upward to call for help instead. Now replay this situation all these years later. Had it been my now grown sis or a kid, i’d have to go for the kid first

Well I've always said i dont care that much for friends so i’d save whoever is closest to me. As for the pregnant SO, im the girl so i’d likely be the prego one 😂 but if i wasn't then yes im saving the person carrying my kid
