Moving in with strangers? Have you?

Does anyone else worry about moving in with strangers from adverts on the internet/estate agents into shared houses? I need to move for work and have never rented with strangers before. Does anyone else worry their new flatmates will have drugs in the house/loft haha I worry about this and that I'll end up in prison with them even though I'm not involved- anyone else think like this?
