I don't know if it's that one exactly, but I got a pre-paid phone when I was 16, then held onto it until I was about 21 and got the groundbreaking blackberry smartphone. Both doubled as blunt weapons in a pinch. Your phones started out with actual color on the screen? Insanity...
My uncle owned some apartment buildings and when a tennant used to move out without paying the rent he would take all their stuff. He used to be able to get telephones bacj in a time before the telephone company was broken up. It was illegal to install your own telephones and everyone had to rent the phone fron the phone company. Everyone had jus one phone and it was usually on the wall in the kitchen. Hardly anyone had an extension phone. My uncle gave me this phone and told me how to hook it up so the phone company would not find out.
Makes sense, at my grandma's old house I rebuilt one of the old phones that was built into the wall. I had wandered what all the extra wires were for after I had pos, neg, and ground. I suppose it was for the phone company to measure the amperage running to the pole, or test circuit on the house depending. It was pretty bad ass to hear that loud CLANG CLANG CLANG when the phone rang lol.
I'd rate the sound quality on calls at just above a CB radio though.
Maybe it's because I rewired it myself, there was probably just some signal noise from a non ideal connection, or not running a wire through a rectifier, magnet or something that was in there before.
I found cell phones vary a lot depending on the phone, how many active users there are, 5g, 4g 3g or what not. Like the 2g and 3g flip phones had the best microphone and speaker placement for me as far as talking on the phone. My phone of choice was an obsolete stratosphere II until I couldn't even patch in text messaging anymore it was so slow and unsupported lol
The higher the frequency and partitioning of time with each extra g, the less it penetrates the walls, and more likely it is to drop your signal as well. Check to see if it's trying to connect through your LAN as well, those always mess up from my experience.
Tracphone from... walmart? Pay for your texts and minutes. Old as shi but it was the beginning of my responsibility. And with my responisibility in phones being good, i progressed to a flip... and now it's a smartphone that's pissing me off so almost time for another. :)
In 6th grade i got this and only used it for the little games on it because i was too afraid to ask for the guys numbers 😂

It wasn't exactly a phone, but I think it was the fourth iPod Touch. I got it in second grade after saving money to pay for half of it.
I was 11 or 12 when I got my first phone lol. I remember begging and pleading my mom for a phone and she got tired and took me to RadioShack and I ended up getting it…it’s so embarassing looking back lol…I wanted an iPhone 😭
