A few seconds ago, for some reason, I felt as though I was in front of the college I went to in the `80's and although it was only for a second or 3, it felt quite real! I have to wonder if somebody there where I was actually saw me there for that flash of time. Sort of like a remote viewing thing but more of a remote visiting thing.
Have you ever felt like you saw someone, ghostly, for an instant?

When my grandfather died, his picture kept falling off my wall, daily. It was surrounded by other framed pictures on the wall, but only the picture of grandpa kept falling off the wall. I don't know if it was a strange coincidence or some kind of sign. But if it was a sign, I don't know what it meant.

Remember that song, "Play The Funky Music, White Boy"? The drummer's niece was dating my nephew about 15 years ago (I'm a drummer, too!). She lived just around the corner from my ex-sister's house. That house is haunted. If you open the front door and take 2 steps in, on your left is a set of pocket doors and that leads to the living room. On the other side of the room is a large mirror over the fireplace. The first time this girl set foot into that house, she only got two steps in, looked to her left, screamed, ran out of the house and started crying! When she settled down, she said that she saw her dead grandfather in the mirror!
After my grandmother died, my ex-sister got her rosary beads and hung them on a nail on the door between the dining room and kitchen. I don't know how many times this happened but, one day, she came home from work and found those beads on the floor... across the dining room!! She picked them up and put them back on the nail. The next day, she came home from work, again and found the beads on the floor, again... on the other side of the dining room!! Her kid was in school and her hubby was dead so, there was no one else in the house! - 7 mo
Funky, I'm totally a believer. I had a job working for a school district. I worked in the kitchen as a server and as a janitor.
Many people told me the place was haunted. One teacher told me that she forgot something at school and drove back to get it. She brought her doggy along, and when she opened the door to the school, the dog wouldn't go in. She tried to pull on the leash, but the dog wouldn't go in. She said that this was a first. It was a house dog, and house dogs love to go indoors.
I've heard many stories about that school, but it really didn't bother me. I told a girl on this site about when my brother and I worked at a funeral home at night. Holy sheep shit. I had to go to the "prep" room and mop the floor in the middle of the night. I was surrounded by dead bodies.
I was the fastest mopper in the county. My brother and I also had a side gig of picking up dead bodies. (like in hospitals, nursing homes, home deaths, and even murder scenes)
That never fazed me, because there were (living) people around.
But late at night at the funeral home, and being all alone around dead bodies... yeah, scary as fuck.
So later when grandpa's pics kept falling off the wall, it didn't freak me out. I just felt he was trying to tell me something. - 7 mo
The college I used to go to owned several local mansions that used to be owned by steel company owners. One of the buildings was supposedly haunted by a little girl that used to live there in the house. The house has 4 floors and 2 basements so, the shaft where the servant's stairs were was 6 floors deep. One day, she was playing hide & seek and decided to hide in that stairwell or in the dumb waiter, also in the shaft. She fell to her death and, supposedly, people see her wandering around the building after midnight. One of the local news stations did a piece on the house around Halloween around the time I was going to school there. I've been there after midnight myself once or twice and never saw her.
As for my ex-sister's house, according to my grandmother, who spent most of her life around the corner from there, that house used to be a funeral home about 100 years ago! She should know! Her dad (or grandfather) used to BE an undertaker!
My ex-sister has mentioned tings that have gone on in that house! She saw some guy that looked like Lincoln, with the tall hat, walking across the floor on the second floor! Where he was going there was only 3 doors, all of which were closed so, by the time she ran up the last few steps to see who he was, he was gone!! Both of the rooms were empty and the other door up to the attic was still locked. One night, my other ex-sister spent the night and saw a tiny bright spot of light on the wall across from a completely shuttered window and it kept getting bigger and bigger!
Another night, her whole family went up to bed and, around 3:00 a. m., the t. v. in the living room suddenly turned on blasting loud!! This happened at least twice.
Another night, they were all asleep and, suddenly, the smoke alarms went off! Hubby went to turn them off only to find that none of them had any batteries!! - 7 mo
About 8 years ago, around 10:00 at night, my nephew called up my house and talked to mom to report that some woman had just come up from out of the basement into the kitchen, where he was, and as soon as he tried to talk to her, she shoved him clear across the room (at least 25') and then just vanished!!
My ex-fiance saw a ghost in her place one morning, too. She had just walked out of her first floor apt. in an old mansion where she was living and, there, in the back of the hall, near the cellar door, she spotted a little girl about 6 or 7 years old in an antique white dress. She went over to talk to the girl because no one else in the house had any kids so, she wanted to find out where she came from! After talking for a moment, she went out the front door because she a bus to catch to get to the college where she studies. She walked out the front door and didn't even get to the porch when she came back in to get something she forgot and, when she did, only SECONDS after talking to the girl, she was gone!! The cellar door locks from the inside and there's no way she could've opened it from where she was and if she ran upstairs, my ex would've seen her AND HEARD her because those steps make a LOT of noise!! - 7 mo
Wow, you have had more than your share of experience with this stuff.
- 7 mo
At least my ex-sister has.
Dad and mom both died in my house about 10' (and 10 years) apart from one another but I never saw any ghostly things happen there from them! - 7 mo
Have you heard of astral projection?
- 7 mo
Yes, that's kinda what I was asking about.
For instance, there was an episode of "Roswell" where Liz (in New Mexico) made herself appear as a vision in front of Max (in New York) to warn him that the the copies were going to try to kill him.
Like I said, for just a few seconds, I felt like I was at my college the other day and just wondered if anybody has ever seen something like that in real life. - 7 mo
I remember projecting a few times as a very young kid. I was crying and I din't know what happened. My parents would rush in and ask me about my bad "dream." I couldn't begin to explain it, because I didn't understand it.
A couple of decades later I started reading about it. Much of what I read was about NOT trying to do it. But I was curious, so I pursued it. It's basically about having your spirit leave your body. I learned from reading about it that we all do that at night. The difference in my case (and others) is that you're fully aware of it.
The reason they warn against doing this, is because there are entities out there that are not friendly.
And I'm saying that lightly. I've never done any psychedelic drug, but on TV, they say you can have a "good trip" or a "bad trip." That's a way of explaining astral projection.
I know how to project and it's easy for me, but I no longer do it. It's by far the scariest thing I've ever encountered. - 7 mo
As far as I know, I've never done it, unless it has something to do with dreams I've had decades ago that came true years later.
- 7 mo
This isn't about dreams, and from what I've read, you do do it, but you just don't know you're doing it.
If you're not aware of it, you are safe. Once you're doing it and aware of it, it's a much different thing. It's so hard to explain.
So your body is resting and your brain is sleeping. Your soul doesn't require sleep, so it just leaves your body. This has probably happened to you every night of your life. But the game changer is when your soul leaves, and your consciousness hitches a ride with it.
There is some really scary shit out there, but it's on a different plane or reality. (I don't know how to say it right)
But I might be able to teach you how to do it, even though I never want to do it again. - 7 mo
Really? What do I do when I do it?
Where does my soul go, on the soul train?
I've heard about all kinds of strange stuff that's SUPPOSED to have happened but, I've never experienced any of it... except for dreams that come true.
If you want to, go ahead. - 7 mo
I've never had any control over where I've gone. I just know that when you open that door, you might not like what you see.
Relax your whole body. Start with maybe your left foot. Focus on just your foot. (this is very important, because you are moving your awareness, and that's what this is all about)
Then switch to your other foot. Once your awareness is there and solid, try switching back and forth between your two feet. Now you will feel your energy moving back and forth. The Chinese call this energy (or life force) "chi"
The Indians call it "prana."
You need to be aware of and be able to control your chi.
Now move your chi to other parts of your body. It's easiest to do this with your breathing. Breathe in through your lungs, and exhale through your knee (or whatever you're focusing on)
- 7 mo
You're trying to master the art of controlling and moving your chi. Once you get good at it, try and create a swirling feeling. Like the energy flowing in a circle. (clockwise or counter-clockwise)
Once you master this circular energy flow, move it at your own will. (this won't all happen in a day, it will take some time to master)
Once you have control over your chi, and keep the circles going, you will drift off to sleep.
And in time, you will be shocked to be hitching a ride with your soul.
If you get that far, you might be able to control where you go, but I never gained that control.
Once I had a few bad experiences, I pulled the plug.
Do some reading on "remote viewing."
Both the American and Russian military experimented with this. It's very similar to what we're talking about, but it was about sending your consciousness to another place. Maybe half way around the world. You could spy on the enemy without their knowledge.
Read up on this stuff, and practice swirling your energy (chi)
I knew a kung fu instructor, and he attempted to harness his chi, and teach his students to do it.
This wasn't about projecting, it was about using the chi energy for fighting power. - 7 mo
Kinda sounds like self-hypnosis. My psych teacher in college, who was a;so a psychologist. taught me how to do that but, I've never actually tried it. I was always too worried I'd not be able to come out of it. I'm not sure I CAN be hypnotized! The mother of one of my guitarists was a registered hypnotist and she tried to hypnotize all of us the night before a gig to play a good gig but, I just laid there laughing the whole time.
- 7 mo
This isn't hypnosis. This is controlling your life force. You can practice moving your chi while fully awake. I tried to find you a YouTube video, but 30,000 hours of content is uploaded every hour, and I haven't seen this video for 2 years.
It was a Chinese kung fu guy. He said it took him 30 years to just find his chi. And then another 10 years to harness it. He must have been about 100 years old, but he had amazing power.
It didn't take me 30 years to find it, because I found it when I was five. I just didn't know what I found. - 7 mo
I dig, I'm just saying that, when Phil taught me self-hypnosis, he said to concentrate on your feet and tell them to do what was needed, then your calves, then your knees, etc. all the way up to your head and, by then, you'd be hypnotized.

That sounds about right.

Sort of like when dad died. It was either the night after or the night before the funeral. It was after midnight and I was hungry. Everyone else went to bed about an hour before and I was in the kitchen making hamburgers. They say that any form of white noise (a fan running, burgers sizzling, static from a radio or t. v. between channels) can allow you to hear the dead talk to you. Right after dad died, I found a Michael Keaton movie, "White Noise" that talks all about this.
Well, I'm completely alone in the kitchen and except for the burgers frying, it's dead quiet! Suddenly, I hear what sounds like dad, off in the distance, jokingly yelling, "Get me the hell out of here!!" I wondered, did I just hear that? Seconds later, he said it, again!!

Is this what they call dejavu?

No, Deja Vu is when something happens to you that you''re sure already happened to you the exact same way a good while before.
