What were you doing in that year? how old were you? were you in school? college? did you have a job? were you even born yet? that would be people aged 24/23 or older.
I really wasn’t born yet 😂😭.
I was like yes! Let me try to answer and it felt all detective but then I realized I just wasn’t born lmao.
My sister was born in that year, so that was cool.
2000 must’ve been big. Like us hiring 2030 or 3000. Because it was always 1900s and then boom 2000. I don't know the 1900s were pretty cool historically it’s crazy HOW FAST history moved in just small decades. The end of it moved faster than the beginning of it for sure, I feel.
Loved reading about and learning about the 20s. The 40s stuff. Then it was crazy about hippie stuff and disco stuff all in there in the… I don't know maybe 50s 60s and 70s and even the 80s but they you know…
THEY HAD ALL THAT STUFF GOIN ON 😂 and then the 90s kids. Like the whole us just felt like a dance floor. So many songs came on. So many personalities and so many outfits. From swing to polka. I mean just wow. And everything now doesn’t feel so varied. It’s just “modern” or virtual. Crazy too I wanted to say electric but electric definitely had its own era as well as techno. So this is literally just mobile and virtual. For cars it’s electric but virtual too.
I DONT know but the 1900s man someone make a book on just that. lol Let’s get encyclopedias on that or something. Volumes. Then have the early 2000s. And then the sports too. It’s crazy.
Like cmon just decades! Decades of differences. Just 10 years and things shifted. It’s like you only had maybe 5 years or so of one thing you liked. No wonder some people miss the “good old days.”
Any trend they liked maybe, just got outdated fast. 💨

I was a junior in high school when 1/1/00 arrived. There were some news outlets that followed some class of 2000 kids in my area. My husband was class of 2000. My mom always acted like she took personal offense to that because I was class of 2001 the *start* of the millennium lol.
I turned 21 in February of 2000. I remember being pissed that I wasn’t going to be 21 in time for NYE Y2K, but I remember going with my then-girlfriend to our friends’ place and staying the night. We couldn’t find any weed, so that sucked, but we had a bottle of tequila. I remember that was the first time I heard the Dr. Dre 2001 album, it had just came out. We played Forgot About Dre like ten times in a row, that shit still goes hard as fuck, lmao
https://www.youtube.com/embed/QFcv5Ma8u8kBut yeah, 2000 was awesome, I remember it well. Cargo pants and carpenter jeans and Hawaiian shirts and bucket hats😂
Just started high school, I remember when 9/11 was announced on P. A system, I just remember goofing off, skipping class, playing a ton of video games, playing basketball, watching basketball, hanging out with guy friends. That summed up my time in the year 2000.
