Guys: should I be this embarrassed about passing gas while I sleep?

I think it is embarrassing no matter what to pass gas in front of people. unless you are super comfortable and its a funny thing maybe (like my gfs and I will kind of announce it if we have to let it out in an emergency) This new guy I'm seeing has slept over a few times. the last time I was asleep and woke up myself when I let out a little fart. I was half awake so I'm not sure how loud it was or if he heard it. it was the middle of the night but at the time I felt him stir (I think) he never said anything about it..i wouldn't think he would even if he heard it out of politeness...but I still feel embarrassed knowing he may have heard it /: I know its natural but I still think its kind of gross to do it. are guys understanding that its gonna happen. I don't think I fart all night but now I am paranoid I do and I can't just ask him about it...LOL this is probably the most trivial question but I'm curious how guys would handle this

This questions is fairly old. I'm still with this guy and we have moved pass being scared to fart. We actually fart openly and think its funny. He thinks it's a fun little game to play before we go to bed. He said he wishes I'd let them out sooner

I don't know how old your question is but ill answer anyway. This is one thing I hate about this site why can you tell sometimes how old a question is and not other times. Anyway, I can see why your embarrassed but the truth is you can't help farting when you sleeping because you muscles relax and then out comes the gas. He may have heard it or may not have, i would not bring it up and if just acts normally around you I would just not worry about it. Some guys are grossed out yes but in my opinion those guys need to grow up, it is a natural bodily function that is going to happen and honestly farting is not the most disgusting thing in the world by any means. Some guys will have a neutral response to girls farting, so in other words won't be grossed out or turned off but don't think it is worth talking about either and the third type of guy will think it is really funny their girlfriend is farting around them, obviously this type of guy is not grossed out or turned off at all. If you want to try and reduce the chances of this happing to you again maybe quickly go somewhere where he is not and can not here you and fart all your gas out so your body is cleared of all its gas and also make sure you don't go to bed needing to go for a poo as that will always make you more likely to fart, it does everyone. So if you feel the urge to go for a poo, make sure you make a trip to the toilet to poop before going to bed.

Think about how you and your friends will announce that you’d have to fart and then fart intentionally to be funny when you feel the urge to pass gas. Why is that? Women evolved to fart together and find joy in it as a method of bonding. As a result, most women have no qualms telling their FEMALE friends when they have to fart and then letting one rip. MALE friends are another matter entirely. Most women, no matter how close they are with men, do not fart around them out of embarrassment. The ones who do usually don’t end up romantically involved with their male friends, not because of disgust but because if a woman lets farts go in front of multiple men as she would around multiple women they see her as a trusted friend. If a woman doesn’t fart in front of many men, however, then farting in front of one is a sign of ultimate trust and intimacy. If you fart in front of a single man, he will think that you trust him as much as you do your friends. Therefore, straight men actually love when women fart in front of them. It demonstrates confidence and comfort.

Oh my god I remember one time I was asleep cuddling and farted, woke up because the guy was watching a movie and I was cuddling into him, I ended up waking up but tried to play it off by 'readjusting' into his armpit... as in me burying my face in shame... and he just laughs and knew I was awake! Hahaha I've had a few weird moments and that is one of them

i am mortified. I know he probably doesn't care too much but god its so not lady like and un sexy. I can see if we were dating a good while but not so soon lol oh well guess if he really likes me it won't even matter

Hahaha but I think if it happens again and he mentions it, turn it into a joke and make fun of it :) ha ha but yea I don't think they've ever REALLY thought it was a deal breaker... unless the guy still believes we don't sh*t and pee and we exist on the magical planet with unicorns and dragons

I make it a point to fart on my girlfriend while she sleeps. It's awesome when she's asleep and doesn't realize it too. I just laugh about it until I fall asleep.
