Do you have absolutely no friends?

I was just reading a post about how someone had no friends. I also have zero friends. It got me thinking...

I myself have absolutely NO friends at all. I want to know how many other people have literally ZERO friends as well. From my perspective it looks like most people have at least a couple friends... Is that the case? I don't hang around people like I once did so I just don't know.

I do. I get along with both genders.
Some people consider me likeable for reasons unknown. They have to put up with my bitter/negative attitude though.
They depend on me whenever they need it. It makes me feel good that I have managed to earn their trust. Recently, one of my friends told me that she feels completely safe around me and it sort of made my day because she rarely compliments people and she is quite sincere.
As for me... I don't truly open up to them. I prefer figuring it out on my own.
I like listening to them and helping them out whenever they need it though.

You have to hang around with people, It is like you have to put some effort to have friends you know. If you do not try why they should be your friend?

You can not get close with everyone of course. But you can hang around and have fun with people. There are people who can accept you as you are. Just step out. And life is really outside and with people it becomes more beautiful.

I think what makes us more human is interaction. Social interaction.
If you are cool with yourself, that is great. But go out really. Meet people. There are not all bad people outside hopefully ! Join clubs. Have some hobbies. Interests connect people.
And it will be nice for you to have your own environement, like your own space, rather than your gf s friends.

I have my own space. I go to movies on my own. Eat out on my own. Go to bars on my own... Etc. Lol I am a alpha I don't crowd my woman.

Do not worry about being alpha or betta man! LOL Just be happy and satisfied human being with yourself.
I do the same sometimes like going on movies on my own, eating out on my own. That is ok. But I love being with friends too. That is another type of fun.

How do you feel about things. I can't tell if your ok with it, because it seems you have just drifted from people you once did hang around with. I had the same thing happen to me, although I was working all the time and became better friends with the people there.

To be totally honest I am okay with it. I think it has to do with the type of person I am. I know not most could not live like I do. They would go crazy Lol

I have just totally lost interest in trying to build relationships. I am very cool with people at work. I am nice and personable. Extremely good with communicating with women ;)

I have tried the whole making friends at work and had a terrible experience with that Lol. So I am done.

Yeah, not many friends who I would call close friends though. My two best friends became all loved up with two complete idiots, they say love does crazy things to people and in there case it ha. They are completely under the thumb, I try not to take it personally but they have really let me down.

My other best friend is a dad now, I know he is still there but he lives far away and is kinda busy!

The rest of that group all just do their own thing now, none of us have fell out, just drifted.

Life goes on. It's good that you aren't upset by things, and I am the same I prefer a night in to actually going out but I do try to show my face occasionally.

I have more than a few friends but 2 main ones - 1. He is my other half would die, kill, do anything for me.. like if I was ever scared he'd drop anything to come I'm closer to him than anyone else 2. She's my partner in crime friend #1 hates her thinks we get up to no good & he's right lol

The ONE girl I tried to be friends with was one of the chicks I fell hardest for. When I got a girlfriend and we continued to be "friends" it almost cost me my relationship Lol. I am mature so I ended things. You are just in a position right now where you are not forced to end things.

I do have friends, some here in the US, others in Spain, but I feel like I have none, because I don't go out with those in the US (their friends, but I don't really like how they have "fun" (they basically don't have fun at all)), and obviously I can't hang out with those in Spain, so I'm usually alone most of the time.
I gotta make new friends.

I have a lot of friends. I play high level sport and do well academically so that gets people interested and I'm friendly to top it off. I feel your problem is your attitude and outlook. I really don't know, but just a good guess

i am really anti-social, but still attractive. i just choose friends with same thinking. pitty or not, haven't found them yet.

you have to be proper to say "i have loads of friends". friends are not just guys/girls who you know. friends are much deeper thing. friends will be there, when you really need them and can trust them.

so thats the reason, i have to say i have no friends. only bunch of relatives, who i find to talk with, but nothing more, like spending time together.

I consider a friend someone I can share my personal secrets with, someone that wouldn't judge them, someone that is a listening ear, someone I enjoy hanging out with.
I have those I casually hang out with... but I don't consider them friends.
The word friend has a really deep meaning for me.

I had vest friends who turned into good friends who are now just friends and some friends are just people I socialize with and some of those are people who I know but don't talk to. So basically I have no real good friends anymore, they only talk to me when they need or want something from me. Smh oh well...

i have too many frineds. all my friends (like 20 of them I've been very close at some point of my life) since 16 are marrying off and can't do the same things

not a lot of people can stay hanging out since teens to their 30s but even for me, people started flaking off around late 20s... most dissapear once in a serious relationship after 20s.

you're absolultely right. i use to belong to 4 to 5 different groups of people in highschool to adolescent years and it created problems because i had to choose. so people saw me as too cool for them which made the hate me etc . you can't keep up and you dont have the resources too either.

Go out with work collegues is my suggestion at least you work in the city, and at office hours giving you the weekends off.

if you work in hospitality then I can understand it's hard making friends since your working every weekend and at irregular hours. But hey best way to make friends is networking through work mates which leads to there friends and you just go from there.

I work on a minesite 4 weeks out of town and 1 week at home giving me only 10 weeks to play in a year :( so i'd say your chances are a lot better than mine

That being said, I have felt like I had no friends at all but it was more of me focusing on the wrong people. You know that phrase, we want what we can't have? That applies to friends too. I found myself wanting to hang out more with people I rarely see than the ones who are always there for me. It's a stupid mindset to have. That is why you never take anything for granted.
