Do you have absolutely no friends?

I was just reading a post about how someone had no friends. I also have zero friends. It got me thinking...

I myself have absolutely NO friends at all. I want to know how many other people have literally ZERO friends as well. From my perspective it looks like most people have at least a couple friends... Is that the case? I don't hang around people like I once did so I just don't know.

I do. I get along with both genders.
Some people consider me likeable for reasons unknown. They have to put up with my bitter/negative attitude though.
They depend on me whenever they need it. It makes me feel good that I have managed to earn their trust. Recently, one of my friends told me that she feels completely safe around me and it sort of made my day because she rarely compliments people and she is quite sincere.
As for me... I don't truly open up to them. I prefer figuring it out on my own.
I like listening to them and helping them out whenever they need it though.

You have to hang around with people, It is like you have to put some effort to have friends you know. If you do not try why they should be your friend?

You can not get close with everyone of course. But you can hang around and have fun with people. There are people who can accept you as you are. Just step out. And life is really outside and with people it becomes more beautiful.

I have more than a few friends but 2 main ones - 1. He is my other half would die, kill, do anything for me.. like if I was ever scared he'd drop anything to come I'm closer to him than anyone else 2. She's my partner in crime friend #1 hates her thinks we get up to no good & he's right lol

Just out of curiosity.
How do you feel about things. I can't tell if your ok with it, because it seems you have just drifted from people you once did hang around with. I had the same thing happen to me, although I was working all the time and became better friends with the people there.

I do have friends, some here in the US, others in Spain, but I feel like I have none, because I don't go out with those in the US (their friends, but I don't really like how they have "fun" (they basically don't have fun at all)), and obviously I can't hang out with those in Spain, so I'm usually alone most of the time.
I gotta make new friends.

I have a lot of friends. I play high level sport and do well academically so that gets people interested and I'm friendly to top it off. I feel your problem is your attitude and outlook. I really don't know, but just a good guess

i am really anti-social, but still attractive. i just choose friends with same thinking. pitty or not, haven't found them yet.

you have to be proper to say "i have loads of friends". friends are not just guys/girls who you know. friends are much deeper thing. friends will be there, when you really need them and can trust them.

so thats the reason, i have to say i have no friends. only bunch of relatives, who i find to talk with, but nothing more, like spending time together.

I consider a friend someone I can share my personal secrets with, someone that wouldn't judge them, someone that is a listening ear, someone I enjoy hanging out with.
I have those I casually hang out with... but I don't consider them friends.
The word friend has a really deep meaning for me.
None of that backstabbing shit!

I had vest friends who turned into good friends who are now just friends and some friends are just people I socialize with and some of those are people who I know but don't talk to. So basically I have no real good friends anymore, they only talk to me when they need or want something from me. Smh oh well...

I have always had a small group of really close friends and then other people I talk to but I'm not close with them.

i have too many frineds. all my friends (like 20 of them I've been very close at some point of my life) since 16 are marrying off and can't do the same things

not a lot of people can stay hanging out since teens to their 30s but even for me, people started flaking off around late 20s... most dissapear once in a serious relationship after 20s.

The older you get, and you end up re-locating due to the game of life,

you will realize that who you THOUGHT were really close friends, were just acquaintances that you bonded with,

because you two were ironically in the same geographic location for a same period of time.

Im just a weirdo and having friendships takes time and work, its not easy and somehow I just can't seem to do that.

Aside from my husband and my brothers, I only have a couple of good friends that I see regularly. Everyone else just sort of drifted away, and another childhood friendship ended very badly last year.

You probably do have at least one friend whether online or somewhere in real life. It's just that people grow up which is the problem im facing where people settle down and can't come out and play anymore.

I do have friends but over the past few years I've learned to distinguish who's a true friend and who's just an acquaintance.  Nothing wrong with having acquaintances but you can never rely on them.

Yes I do.. but I knew one guy who had none at all then I decided to talk to him and befriended, at first he found me annoying but he had me as a friend. Now he has more friends and a gf, but I have no contact with him now..
