Boyfriend texting unsaved numbers?

I'm really worried my boyfriend is being unfaithful because whenever I'm with him he always text unsaved numbers and today I was at his house with him and some unsaved number texted him asking him where he was and sent 4 or more messages and he replied at the movies which he wasn't. Is this a red flag or am I being paranoid? Thanks

He also has like almost 700 unread messages

I think the red flag is that you're worried about it. You don't trust him. Do you want to be in a relationship with someone you don't trust?

Does he have work? Because maybe they can be collegues who are trying to get him to come to work so he is making up excuses?

Sounds like paranoia. I text plenty if unsaved numbers, and they are definitely not women.

Red flag for sure. Unless he has 700 things listed on Craigslist he has no reason too.
