End of honeymoon phase or falling out of love?

Me and my boyfriend have been dating for 3 years. Lately he has been telling me that he might not be able to spend his life with me because his feelings aren't the same. He says he still loves me but doesn't know if it's the same strength of love. In the beginning of our relationship everything seemed perfect and now it's not so much. Do you think that it's just because the honeymoon phase is over and he is mistaking it as falling out of love or because he's actually falling out of love with me?

ok first off you probably dont quite understand love... it sounds like more of a lust that has lost its luster heh... I would suggest trying to reigniting your spark with him with something crazy like a trip to go sky diving or something extreme that will pull you closer together because he sounds like he's bored and kinda looking for a way out... Well have you noticed divorce rates are up and people are getting married to the people they "LOVE" and yet it most of the time fails? Its because in the last few generations we have lost track of what love is and instead have slapped the word love on to the feelings of lust.. Because love grows with time its not static but lust starts off fiery and amazing and burns out quick..

i've no idea. but does he change how he treats you, did the sex change? does he not want to be with you? and so on...

He's changed a little on how he treats me, I know I've put him through a lot with my anxiety so maybe that's why, but other than that, when we're together things are fine. The sex hasn't changed. And he said he wants to be with me but he's scared that he won't enjoy being with me like he used to

i think yu should just wait and see what happens. you can't be sure either way and you will only pressure yourself and him if you actively want a clear descision
