Girlfriend wet herself on a night out?

So, me and my Girlfriend were out on a night out a couple of days back - this was the first night out we have had in quite a while - since we usually prefer saying in at weekends.

We were meeting up with some of my friends from College and some of hers also - which I haven't really got to know very well. So, my Girlfriend wet herself randomly at one point and she felt humiliated and ashamed - I don't know why she didn't just go to the toilet but anyway. Some of friends thought it was funny to make fun at her and I confronted them and they went a bit crazy mad - I wasn't happy at their attitude at all and their was a lot of swearing from them. I wasn't prepared to stay with them afterwards. She did drink a bit more than I did though.

Afterwards, we both left and went home - she felt humiliated and ashamed of herself - I've tried reassuring her but it doesn't seem to be working.

What should I do - I feel bad for mentioning it to her?

I agree it's not normal for an adult to wet themselves but I wouldn't bring it up. I mean, let's assume that this was some weird one-off like she was drunk or something. I mean, I have two daughters and they haven't wet themselves since they were like 20 months old. ;-)

But in the end, it doesn't really matter what the reason was (unless it starts becoming a problem). Continuing to mention it just forces her to relive her humiliation and shame. Just pretend it never happened and move on. She'll love you for it.
