Does she say it casually to show that she just wants to be friends?
Will a girl say "I love you" casually to a guy in order to imply that she just wants to be friends?

I can only think of a few reasons why I'd do those things with a so-called guy friend:
1. We are such close friends that he would never be confused of the meaning, like he knows I think of him like a brother and doesn't need to ask.. but since you're asking, that's not the case here.
2. I'm flirting hardcore and asking him (begging him) to make a move.
3. I'm asking him if he's interested in me, though I'm not sure how I feel about him yet.
Basically, I'd bet that she has some romantic feelings for you, or is trying to figure out if you have feelings for her.
Why don't you just ask her? If it turns out you guys are just meant to be friends, that one little question will not damage the friendship, as long as you're straightforward about it.
Maybe it will lead to something more... but if not, and she's a good friend, things will go back to normal in no time.
Completely agree
its OK she is your freind
if she said I love you so its OK I think
friends also loves friends
be with her as a friend
enjoy your friendship
thanks
it's possible.
it's equally possible she's hoping you take the hint that there's more to it.
