Does my boyfriend love his car more than me?

So my boyfriend is obsessed over cars, especially his new 4wd. He used to be on his phone often looking at videos and once he was on his phone he would ignore everything around him. He has gotten better now and is hardly on his phone if we are doing something. Last weekend we went 4wding and he needed to fix his car, and that's all he has talked about. We are going away TOMORROW and we haven't gotten around to organising the most of it because all he is focused on is work and his car getting fixed in time (he picked it up last night). I never bring it up because I feel like it's his passion and I don't understand, am I overreacting? I feel like he prioritizes the car over me sometimes.

That's common in America for guys to treasure their cars
and where your from the guys could be the same exact way
he is proud of his car is why he treats it like his precious and joy
i wouldn't get too upset about it unless he stops making time
for you than you'd need to speak up and tell him how you feel
about things.

More than you might be a stretch, but like the first guy that commented, it is definitely a passion of his. If he loves you at all y'all should be able to talk about stuff like that. Just ask him to chill a tad, not to completely ignore cars

I definitely love talking about cars with him and I do love seeing his excitement when we go out in it or when he shows me all the different parts. But when it's stopping us from organising plans and when thats the only topic he can continuously talk about I feel a bit weird about it. If I don't make conversation then there is no conversation

I don't think you need to feel jealous over a car. He's just enjoying his new toy, it will tone down with time.

If I understood correctly, he's preparing the car for the trip? Maybe he feels that is the most important part, or he's expecting you to take care of the rest.

I say let him be happy and gush over the cars. Don’t do everything, do your part and let him see that he’s slacking and you’re on top of it. It helps him see that his passion is becoming a distraction & he needs to prioritize better
