So my boyfriend dumped me 3 days ago because of his mother. Our relationship was perfect but his mom thought I ruined his career and grades. Anyways, we couldn’t get enough of each other and we didn’t go a day without talking to each other. When he asked to break up he was sure about his decision even when I begged him and cried he said he couldn’t unless I talked to his mom (which he told me she won’t listen to me) or wait until things gets better. A day after our break up he still said “ I love you so much” and “I miss you” after I said it. When I asked him if he’ll regret leaving he said yes and that he doesn’t want to throw our 2 years of relationship in the trash. Anyways he didn’t want talk anymore (maybe studying) and I decided to not talk to him or text him anymore. A day went and we didn’t talk but I sent him a Snapchat for our streaks and we sent back and forth and suddenly he texted me and said “I miss you”. Could he really mean it? ( same thing happened last year when we broke up and we ended back in together happily then ever )

Madly in love with each other. Always promised me that he’ll stay no matter what happens and always talked about marriage and kids with me. Even the same day (2 hours before ) his mom asked him to leave. he wouldn’t stop saying I love you and he would spend all his time with me.

Yes he misses you, he wouldn't bother messaging you unless it was to use you but I don't like to think the guy you were in a relationship with would stoop that low. He's feeling guilty and knows it was the wrong decision from his heart. It's clear to me that you and him have got a really special connection. It's not a huge problem that you guys aren't together right now.. As you obviously *want* to be.. It's just because of a situational problem.. His mom.. Which really sucks and is really stressful.. Consider this like a fingerprint.. If you look at your fingertips, you see all of the lines? Oh. Me and him talked. He was super cold and answered short for some reason. I asked him it’s Friday and what he’s gonna do today, he said he’s sleeping with my ring (I made us customized “promise rings with our names and bdays on them) then he asked to hear my voice and said I love you and dropped the call. And It turns out that his whole family hates me and not only his mom. I asked him to come back and he said he can’t and that he doesn’t want me to get hurt by them. He won’t listen to me and he’s cold to me, he always drops the call every 2 mins (after I beg him to stay for 10 mins) and leaves the chat every 2 seconds. I asked him if he loves me and he said yes , I asked huh I’m if he could do anything for me, he said yes. I told him asked him to come back and he said he could do anything but this one. he later dropped the call and he said he’ll text me (which he didn’t and went to sleep) I texted him that I’ll do anything and that I’ll talk to his family and find a solution.

I'm really sorry that you guys are going through this.. just be patient and let him think things through and prioritize things in his life. He's extremely overwhelmed right now.. don't keep pressuring him and pushing him.. it won't help at all. Tell him that you think he needs some breathing room and that you'll give him some.. but that you love him and he can always rely on you and talk to you. This will be a huge relief to him. He obviously still cares about you, but put yourself in his shoes.. this situation is extremely hard for him.. he feels backed into a corner. So make sure to give him breathing room.
