i mean giving birth really only needs a few weeks of recovery before you can work again. it's possible for her to provide even if she gives birth, if you're doing the raising thing.
No, actually. That's a completely unfair and unequal relationship. The woman would be contributing far more to the relationship. Pregnancy and childbirth are $50,000 worth of value as per the cost of surrogacy. What makes a relationship equal is if, at least for 1 year, the man works a job that pays $50,000 to provide for him, his wife, and kid. It's totally unfair to expect the woman to provide, on top of having the baby.
I mean, even look at your response: "sure if she had a career to provide." So even YOU recognize the obvious fact that it's unfair for a person to not provide for their pregnant partner. As long as that pregnant partner is a man, right? But it's totally acceptable for a woman to experience pregnancy and be expected to provide?
@mistixs I wasn't talking about providing for pregnancy I was speaking about the time you have to invest to socialize a child in which you can't possibly have a job. If you don't want a child, don't have one you pay a surrogate cause they don't want th child. Yeah pregnancy sucks but you can keep working through most of your pregnancy. Most jobs are not physically demanding anyway.
Since the woman contributes to the pregnancy directly, the man has to contribute indirectly by providing for the needs of the pregnant woman & thus the needs of the unborn child. Otherwise he's neglecting the child

The stress of working 24+ hours per week is dangerous to the pregnancy. Working 32+ hours is riskier to the pregnancy than smoking.
