Guys did you propose to your girlfriend and she answered No? What did you do with the ring? Ladies have you ever said no to a proposal?

Years ago I proposed to an ex and she gave me a No. It hurt like hell but I figured she wasn't ready. The next day after I returned home from work she had packed up all her belongings and left. We were together exactly a year to the day I proposed. Before you ask she moved in a month before the question.

I took the ring and threw it into the pond where we met. I figured the memory of her will be there forever. Stupid I know but I didn't want it around and I didn't think of selling it until it was to late.
