This dream aside, do you trust him in general and your relationship is good? Dreams are just that and "mean" nothing. However it could be your fear. But what's causing that fear is the question. His behavior, or your past, or just fear in general? If he's given you no reason not to trust him, and your relationship is good, then ignore this as it will only cause problems that aren't there. If it's your past, you have to get over that also. This is a new relationship and you can't bring that into a new one. It's a risk with anyone yes, but he is not that other guy and unless he gives you reason not to trust him, then don't create them yourself. But the dream in itself means nothing in my opinion. They are random and could be anything. I've had ones that I've fallen from something (to my death), has anything happened, no lol.

Bottom line, if you have no reason not to trust him, then don't over a dream.

Some dreams are prophetic (visions of future, or possible future events) some are lucid, (controlled dreaming that sometimes has connections too real life events or experiences) but most are your subconscious trying too sift through all the crap in your stored memories too establish some kind of order too the random caos of your life. I had a dream recently that my husband of 27 years was going to sleep with someone else. The attitude in the dream was very causal, like we were in an agreeable open relationship or something. When I voiced my objection to him sleeping with somebody else, he just shrugged his shoulders and started to walk away. I asked him, “You’re gonna do it anyway, aren’t you?” When he answered “probably,” I woke with a start. Know why that was?
Because the hell I was about to bring down would have been felt here in the real world.
I know it was just a dream, and I know he’s not the cheating type, but let’s just say it was a good thing he was at work that day. Gave the homicidal urges a chance to calm down.

It most likely means you have a subconscious fear of that happening and your brain doesn't like fears to be swept under the rug. I'd be honest with him about your feelings and fears but don't let it control you. If he actually is or does cheat ok, thats that. You leave him and move on to someone who deserves to love you. Our dreams are rarely self fulfilling prophecies but can cause negative ones to come to life. If you have major causes for doubt in your relationship then you should confront them, otherwise chalk that dream up to your subconscious.

It just might be your insecurities, they say your dreams are affected my your thoughts and insecurities. Its just your imagination. If you still have any issues with the dream, then you could open up to someone, like a close friend or a sibling or maybe even your boyfriend if he is open enough to accept this stuff. Its your brain not his, so why how would it affect him? He didn't do anything wrong so don't punish him for it. I mean I dreamed my mother became a weird rabid monster that I had to beat to death with a brick so she wouldn't kill me, she then came back from the dead as a zombie and I had to do it again. It's your insecurities, but it doesn't mean that it can't happen in real life too. My ex dreamt about me flirting with other girls, and it wasn't true.
