+1 yIt depends what you mean by "feminist".
From what I see, a lot of women say they're feminist, but when you dig into their beliefs and values, it becomes apparent they're basically just egalitarians, perhaps with a secondary focus on women's issues (but not to the denigration of men's issues). These "feminists" are basically just normal women who believe in equal opportunities, but also feel that society has room for improvement. Hardly anything controversial there. (although even within this group, there may be splinter groups who have their own ideas of what those "improvements" ought involve.)
Then there's the "militant" feminists, the SJW anti-male types who believe all of society is ruled by "the patriarchy", and that all women are victims, and that men are akin to an airborne toxin that needs to be fumigated. Marrying one of these women is a fast way to get your bits chopped off in your sleep. Metaphorically speaking. (Or even literally, in a few rare cases.)
And then there's a third group: feminists who THINK they're just egalitarians, but who unconsciously take on the beliefs and ideologies of the militant feminists. Often these are young women, either in high school or college/University, where liberal professors and peers indoctrinate them with all kinds of absurdities. Or maybe they even pick it up from Twitter/Tumblr/YouTube rabbit holes. Or from their peer groups, who jump on whatever bandwagon will let them switch off their critical thinking, safe in the clutches of the Rad-Fem hivemind.
This third group may just be the most dangerous of all, even more so than the true radicals. Because most normal, non-converted people recognise a psychotic cult leader when they see one. But the "useful idiots" who are already converted can be deployed by the cult leader, to spread the cult beyond its own borders; and nobody will question what's happening, because the conscripts appear "normal" enough on the outside that their radicalism passes for regularity.33 Reply- +1 y
So marrying an egalitarian makes perfect sense, as long as their idea of "equality" doesn't slip into victim mentality.
But marrying a RadFem is one of the worst decisions a man could possibly make. Why marry someone who believes your very existence is a form of tyranny against her gender? - +1 y

+1 yThere should be a third option.
I am married to a feminist. And before you all lose your shit a few things.
1. She cooks better than most restaurants out there. To those who think they don't know how to do it.
2. She is super caring and loving and sex is something I never have lack of.
3. She doesn't nag me. Much less about women's rights. She is rational and even says that men also have their share of problems in society.
4. She is hot AF! Dresses like a proper girl and acts super feminine.
5. No she doesn't hate men. I mean she is married to one and pampers me everyday.
6. She makes more money than me and never ever brags about it. We both split expenses and work at the house. We both call the shots.
And yes she is a feminist! She calls herself one and trust me if you say that "women have no problems in society" she will argue with you, but not yell and she will be able to listen and present factual arguments.
In resume she is a modern girl feminine feminist who is not insane. Yes they exist and I found one!436 Reply- +1 y

- +1 y
@TruthBringer Oh you bet!
- +1 y
@yofuknutz "check their background"? What am I supposed to find? I know her criminal record is clean.
- +1 y
@yofuknutz I couldn't be less worried. It will last until one of us dies.
- +1 y
Honestly, she doesn't fit in the category as a "feminist"
- +1 y
@TruthBringer she calls herself one.
Why do you say she doesn't? - +1 y
@thisismyopinion I've met girls and women who call themselves feminists while they actually aren't really femnists. If you have to ask how the category of a feminist looks like, then you have been living under a rock, pal. Actual feminists are FAR MORE toxic and your woman seems to lean more towards a traditional woman judging from your description. Something feminists HATE. If your woman would meet them, they would shame her I can promise you that.
- +1 y
@TruthBringer she is rational, doesn't talk about women rights all the time and agrees that men have some disadvantages in society. About being a traditional women I don't know since she actually makes more money than me working on a big ass company. Not a lot more I am an engineer, but still more. I can't tell you which one of us spent more money while we were dating.
I know what the stereotype is. Thing is the feminists I see online are nuts. But the ones I meet in real life are all rational and very put together girls. - +1 y
@thisismyopinion The nutty feminists are often an abundance online as they are the ones who feel the need to complain. And the true modern feminists will lash out at your girlfriend for making more money and belittle you. And she also cooks and gives you regular sex? Like I said, she doesn't fit the category. You've described my girlfriend aswel. The only difference is that I make more money than she does. And guess what, she is not a feminists and neither does she call herself that.
- +1 y
@thisismyopinion Many girls who aren't truly 'feminists' call themselves that just for the idea of men and women having equal rights, equal pay and equal opportunities. Then again, you don't have to be a feminist to want those things.
- +1 y
@TruthBringer oh yes! It was my birthday last Friday and my stomach was filled and my nuts emptied. Didn't had to ask!
She says she is a feminist because she believes in equality. Simple as that. She follows the old fashion definition. - +1 y
@TruthBringer you don't have to be a feminist to want those things. But that is the original defenition of feminism. The idea of equal rights.
- +1 y
@thisismyopinion See? just proved my point. She isn't a true feminist. And that's a good thing. She is simply a good woman. True feminists are often the ones who would rather 1-up men and always have their right than to be healthy partners who want to be a teamplayer. Trust me, if you would be with an ACTUAL feminist, you would want to kill yourself.
- +1 y
@thisismyopinion And congratulations on your birthday ;)
- +1 y
@thisismyopinion The original feminism is no more, mate. That doesn't exist. It's corrupted now. Back then at least they had a reason to be feminists. And it wouldn't surprise me if the old feminists would hate the current ones.
- +1 y
@TruthBringer I think it depends on you definition of what a "feminist" is.
You immediately imagine that ugly, fat pink hair irrational girl who thinks the pilot who suicide by crashing a plane on the french Alpes was an attack on women because there were more women than men on board. Those are the third wave feminists. Those are insane lunatics and I would never marry one!
My wife is an old fashion feminist, still a feminist. - +1 y
@TruthBringer thanks! 🤜🤛
- +1 y
@TruthBringer they would hate the third wave feminists for sure!
They are a mockery of the old ones who actually just wished equality. - +1 y
@thisismyopinion Yeah too bad the good ones are a dying breed. It's far more likely to encounter a crazy feminist than a good one. At my old university, there was a research done because 1 teacher (who fits the stereotype of a feminist in terms of looks) happened to fail more male-students than female-students. The issue is that these kind of people cannot be longer ignored. Just imagine you or your son happens to fail a course because his teacher happens to hate men.
- +1 y
@TruthBringer it's really bad! But schools always had some bias against boys, but it is worse now.
Is true that the school system doesn't fit what boys like as much as girls do. The books they read, the games they play and even the concept of listening instead of doing favors girls at young ages. So is normal that they do better.
BUT a study was made that showed that if teachers just grade students on their grades alone, without knowing the name of the student (meaning they do not know if they are a boy or a girl). The boys grades went up 30%. 30 fucking percent! Their average score would still be lower than the girls, due to the factors I mentioned earlier. But 30% is a lot! - +1 y
@TruthBringer I have no real idea why this is. Most teachers at young age are women and so they are bias? Do they feel they need to repress violent games and punish adventurous attitudes of boys? What?
- +1 y
@thisismyopinion I don't know why they do this either. I can only speculate. Wouldn't surprise me if feminism does play some part in this. Afterall, most teachers are women. I've met great female teachers, but unfortunately, as you can see, there is a bias in the school system. I've not seen a SINGLE feminist raise their voice against this if this happens to be true. Can you source the study? I've not known about it.
- +1 y
@TruthBringer I can try to find it again.
Most college graduates today are girls and they actually make more money on average then guys on the begging of their careers.
Wale gap is bullshit and they actually seem to have the advantage when they go into the work market. - +1 y
@TruthBringer I am not finding it. I probably saw it quoted somewhere.
- +1 y
@thisismyopinion That's another thing feminists never complain about. And I found the BBC covering it here, but in case you do find the study, let me know : https://www.bbc.com/news/education-31751672
- +1 y
@thisismyopinion I'll let you know if I happen to find it
- +1 y
@TruthBringer thanks!
I already saw a feminist say something like "we want to address men's issue, but we are simply focusing on what is more prevalent and common in society today. Girls have most of the disadvantages so we need to address and worry about them first."
This logic is the same has having two plates in front of two starving children. And giving both to one of the children because looks skinnier at first glance. When one plate is more than enough to feed the child and will have no real use for the second plate that is being given. - +1 y
@thisismyopinion Great example! This pretty much shows how modern feminism is not out for equal rights, but is only for women. It's modern feminism that gave birth to groups like MGTOW. There is a reason why those feminists are ending up alone and miserable. Let's take a moment and appreciate the fact we aren't dealing with that kind of woman.
- +1 y
@TruthBringer amen to that!

Ideal case would be to not marry at all but to just enjoy the life of normal singles.
As far as men are concerned feminists should be avoided.
Im not against women rights or supportive laws but the whole meaning of being a feminist has changed over the years to something that beats down on masculine concepts. Like is it masculine toxicity to have a general macho like attitude? If it doesn't hurt or bother anyone why the hell must those women be offended?

+1 yMarry a feminist? You mean the so-called "strong independent woman" who in reality is full of insecurity about her own femininity, who claims she "doesn't need no need", but still tries to get with men for their resources while making her lives a living hell through nagging & defiance? And should I even bother mention those with short & dyed hair?
Watch them say "Men like you can't handle a strong woman". No sweeties, men like myself are absolutely capable to handle you. We just don't want to be bothered with your bullshit when we can get with a truly feminine woman who would rather be a teamplayer than a liability. Remember, masculinity attracks feminity and vice versa. Hence why masculine men avoid you like the plague.
There is a reason why non-feminist/traditional women are mostly happy in their relationships and aren't suffering from depression. You don't need no man, remember? Go be with your cats 😂.61 Reply- +1 y

+1 yFeminism /ˈfeməˌnizəm/
noun - the advocacy of women's rights on the basis of the equality of the sexes.
fem·i·nist/ˈfemənəst/
noun - a person who supports feminism.
adjective -relating to or supporting feminism.
Smart men *are* feminists.
I. e. smart men support the advocacy of women's rights on the basis of *equality* of the sexes.
The communication disconnect here is illustrated by the quote you gave. Many people have their own personal definition of "feminist", which deviates from the dictionary definition. Many feminists, even.
Absolutely I agree with you that *inequality* is a bad thing, and that is the toxic element we see with certain feminists who are pushing back the other way against misogyny (hatred of women), to the point of misandry (hatred of men). Hate is not the answer. Going to extremes is not the answer.
Finding balance and equality and nurturing that is the answer.22 Reply- +1 y
To define a word by those labeled with the word serves to confuse things, if what you seek is confusion. "Christianity" for example, would have an entirely different meaning if defined by "self-avowed Christians".
Of course, I understand the hypocrisy of cherry picking to support a particular perspective, rather than applying the same logic across the board.
As I said, I partially agree with you, in that there are people who label themselves as feminists who are actually misandrists. I prefer to call a spade a spade, even if that spade insists it is a hoe. XD
Anonymous(18-24)+1 yThird option should have been feminists don't get a relationship. I think so. Like a proper happy relationship is hard to see if they are radical feminists. They might find some beta simps or male feminists but they'll probably break up soon after all cuz they don't have proper boundaries. I feel these radical feminists believe in misandry and not equal respect. A real relationship involves equal respect and love which clearly won't be there in this case.

How am I calling you names? Involuntary celibate is a condition. It isn't name-calling. Besides, you have no problem wielding the term "feminist". And lookie, here. . . your widdle feelings are hurt.
But you aren't emotional?
Well, in my opinion, a smart man does not marry in the first place because divorce courts statistically favor women on average. Add to that the fact that feminists are often trouble if you happen to be born as a man. Honestly, sticking your peener in a pencil sharpener sounds like a better idea than marrying a feminist.
40 Reply1.2K opinions shared on Relationships topic. Depends what you mean by "feminists" as it's not a monolith. Arab feminists are very different from French feminists, who are very different from Indian feminists.
Feminism varies due to cultural and social norms in various societies.20 ReplyFeminists are just a cancer in society, in general. They're so stupid and out of touch with reality, they're like millionaires complaining that the world doesn't cater to them enough. Maybe that's why so many Hollywood celebs are so woke.
30 ReplyThe quote is ridiculous. Feminism isn't about focusing solely on women, it's about equality. Most peoples ideas of feminism are intersectional, radical feminism, which the quote describes, is what it says it is. Radical. It's a non sensical outlier to a pro ethical idea.

+1 yI'm a Christian. Feminists are not. The Bible says that the man heads the Christian household (1 Corinthians 11:3) and that the wife should have respect for her husband (Ephesians 5:33). Such teachings are incompatible with the tenets of feminism. A relationship between a feminist and, at least, me, could never work.

Anonymous(25-29)+1 yI would't call them cancer. But I do think feminists are an problem in modern society. Mostly because they are selfish, act out of control and only wants to make themselves better than men. I think they are most of the times just insecure about themselves and want to inflict their pain on others.
217 Reply- +1 y
Same can be said for Men’s Rights groups, MGTOW and Red Pills. They are selfish and one sided.
Opinion Owner+1 y@ShootShootBangBang Okay never knew they existed? But if that's the case. Then yes.
- +1 y
No sorry men who are affiliated with those groups,
Including yourself are always saying how hard they have it and how unfair life is to them. Both Feminazis (not feminists) and men’s rights groups always play the victim. Wah wah I have to pay child support. Wah wah she got custody because I beat the kid. They both want to see those of the opposite gender with less rights. I’m done talking to you. People like you are poison. - +1 y
@ShootShootBangBang These groups are the result of what modern feminism has brought to (western) society. Although many are toxic, these groups either distance themselves completely from women or learn how to deal with them the proper way. I'm a red piller myself and it's after researching it that I happen to have higher quality relationships like the one I'm currently in.
While feminism is out there to GET AT men. I have far more respect for groups like MGTOW who at least choose to distance themselves rather than getting at someone else. And not sure how you think red pill wants women to have less rights. You're clearly mixing black pill incels with red pillers. So first properly educate yourself on the subject before you start calling people out. - +1 y
@TruthBringer yep and feminism is a product of men like you.
- +1 y
@TruthBringer again not having any accountability just like the Femnazis. We men have always had more opportunity. Part of your problem is you don’t work like a real man. Don’t take away other’s rights and expect yours to be kept. What comes around goes around. Grow up.
- +1 y
@ShootShootBangBang Oh look, we got a white knight simp here. Trying to get pats on the head by these women won't help you get into bed with them. On the contrary, it's feminazis and female nature that made me who I am now. Last time I checked groups like MGTOW are a byproduct of feminism. Someone who knows how to act accordingly. So not sure how you try to portray men "like" me as bad. Let me break the news to you, it's men like me who (these) women love to open their legs for. Enjoy the friendzone, mate 😂
- +1 y
@TruthBringer nope I work hard and take care of my kid. I want everyone to be able to do the same. Taking rights away from others just because you want to act like a victim isn’t where it’s at. I know I make more than a woman who does my job by the way. So again, keep telling me how rough we have it.
- +1 y
@ShootShootBangBang Oh we got it good in many things. We also don't have it good in many things. So not sure where you're getting the idea that I'm on a victim mentality. Also, the wage gap has been debunked many times. My fellow female pilots are getting the same salary as I do. And once again, learn the difference between a red pilled person and a black pilled one. Because the black pill incel losers are the ones who scream to take women rights away. Because women would rather sleep with men like myself than with them 😂. But by all means, keep back peddling with the same arguments
- +1 y
@TruthBringer I get plenty of action. But then again, I’m rational and fair. I think things through. Taking an American citizen’s right to vote away- women of childbearing age would have to register for the draft in order to vote. So basically you and men like that loser who began the comment are telling women if you decide to have children you do not get the right to vote. I hope your mother’s smack the piss out of you spoiled brats. Your daddies are worthless too. Then on top of that making it a requirement that all people who sign up for the draft have the vote will also open our votes to illegal immigrant men.
You stupid people have no clue what you are talking about. Taking rights away from your fellow citizens is a disgrace and so are you. - +1 y
Sorry not you anon about the voting- I’m talking about the losers on here that suggested it.
- +1 y
@ShootShootBangBang For the THIRD time. NO ONE SAID ANYTHING ABOUT TAKING RIGHTS AWAY, you Dimwit 😂. I for a fact never have. PROVE that I ever said women can't vote. Where is the citation? Good luck finding it. You're speaking to an Officer at the Dutch Air Force. Would be contradictary if I fight for freedom and rights and then say a certain amount of people can't vote 😂.
How about you come up with valid and intellectual arguments rather than false accusations. I'm losing IQ points just by talking to you - +1 y
@shootshootbangbang You wrote, "[men] Including yourself are always saying how hard they have it and how unfair life is to them", sounds like you're talking about women actually. I haven't said, I have it hard. I have said in the past that if a single father with 3+ jobs even whispers that his life is hard he will be laughed at. If a lazy single mom who watches TV and plays online all day says her ex is lazy, she gets a pat on the back, government money, child support (of course) and she's called a victim. Do the math. I'm for justice so yes, I will speak up for people who are wronged, regardless of their gender. Which is probably why a lot of females on GAG have appreciated getting advice from me. I'm done with you too.
- +1 y
I didn’t even read your last comment because you’re a loser. Start being more human and maybe life will get better for you.
- +1 y
@shootshootbangbang Ah yes, not reading comments that contradict everything you said. And yet you call others "one sided". Thanks for showing you're not open for other perspectives yourself. Hence why no one should listen to you. Now go back to white knighting, little simp

+1 yFalse dichotomy. All western women benefit from Feminism and aren't clamoring to have those unearned advantages taken away. I. e. only men must register for Selective Service or become felons, be fined and lose voting rights. Only white men don't receive Affirmative Action in universities and the workplace.
130 Reply- +1 y
No sorry women lose their voting privileges if they are felons. They also must register as
Such too. Do not spread bad information. - +1 y
Selective Service is draft registration and felony registration is entirely different; stop being a lazy brained simp.
Not registering for Selective Service is a felony and women don't have to register. - +1 y
Oh so you’re one that doesn’t think women should be able to vote... Every citizen over the age of 18 should have the right to vote. Women have also been active in every war even though even before they had the right to vote.
- +1 y
Making only men eligible for the draft as a prerequisite for voting violates the equal protection clause of the 14th amendment to the Constitution, it'll be decided in the Supreme Court soon enough.
- +1 y
In fact, nobody of either gender should have rights taken. Part of the reason women were not allowed to vote back then was because were not as well educated. They restricted other’s access to voting for that reason as well. However, people in general are much more educated now because of access to learning. Women in particular. FEMNAZIS, MGTOW and Red Pills are all the same. You’re all poison. I’d suggest you have more respect for people in general.
- +1 y
Well there is a simple solution to that. Make it where every citizen should be able to vote. Taking rights away from one just because you’re bitter is just as bad as taking rights away from yourself.
- +1 y
Without the draft the government's feast/famine approach to hiring and the armed forces would leave us venerable, thus the institution of the draft in the first place. The legal foundation of women registering is so strong that not even corrupt supreme court justices can stop it.
- +1 y
Women and men deserve the same rights as long as they are citizens of the country they intend to vote for. That’s what is fair and that is what is right. Maybe if stopped being so inhuman you’d become a better person.
- +1 y
No sorry they got rid of the draft at one point. Bush reinacted it again. So really you can thank Bush for reunifying that for you. Instead of taking away American Citizen’s rights, they are more likely to make it to where you don’t have to register for the draft anymore.
- +1 y
Also the draft is open to all noncitizen male. So I guess now you’re saying all non citizens should have a vote too, which will NOT go for your agenda. Be a human. Love your fellow citizens.
- +1 y
Exactly, so we're going to make women register; like men must, since fair is fair, as they say. There's no stopping it.
Conscription remains in lieu of the draft, like in the U. K., so the same issue stands. You'll see, soon enough. - +1 y
So you’re saying that even noncitizens should have a vote? This conversation is over.
- +1 y
You just made that up. You're really dumb. Illegal immigrants are to be deported by law.
- +1 y

- +1 y
I never once said that noncitizens should have a vote. You're too autistic to have a coherent conversation.

You specifically mentioned the draft!!! The draft is open to all noncitizen males too. So now with your effort they will be able to vote too!!! YOU UNAMERICAN LOSER! You have no idea how deep your hatred hurts America!!!
- +1 y
The draft is different from Selective Service. I never said that everyone who registers for Selective Service should be able to vote, your autistic brain sperged that.
- +1 y
No this was in regards to the selective service. OMG your stupidity is amazing. There is also an initiative now to get rid of the draft. Haha haha!!! Just shut up. Maybe YOU don’t deserve the right to vote. Hahaha
- +1 y
You brought up the draft and I said conscription superceded both Selective Service and the draft. Now, show me where I said illegal immigrants should be able to vote or where I said everyone who registers for Selective Service should be able to vote. You can't. You got triggered and started defending women, that's all this is.
"Deserve"... you think like a girl.
Only men are eligible for conscription, the draft or Selective Service; whichever applies and women will be too, there's your precious equality. The foundation is set by the military and our feemale voting majority themselves and it's irrefutable; they'll be mad when special treatment bites them in the butt, however, I won't be. - +1 y

Are you seriously still talking? See people like you are the reason I hate radical special interest groups. They are uninformed and selfish. Go to work, get promoted and learn how to get along with other people. You’d rather give illegal immigrants a vote than allow your own citizens to. Of all people, too,
You’re picking on women. What a sorry excuse you are. You’re unAmerican and poisonous. - +1 y
I looked into your claims further and found out what, if given your way, would actually happen. You like to play the victim to the point where you would deny rights to all American citizens. Unfortunately, they are often misapplied by judges who are clueless and state agencies who aren't trying to help anyone except bureaucrats. I favor an overhaul of the entire system, beginning with a mission statement that says... Help whoever needs help and do no harm.

argyle - You seem to think women (or whoever earns less) is entitled to the other person's money. If we're equal then she can get a job just like the man can. The person with less shouldn't be entitled to the other person's money unless it's voluntary. As far as child support... if a woman can choose to abort her baby and the dad has zero say - in fact in one case a man's parental rights were removed for life simply because he ASKED about abortion when he heard she was pregnant - then to make things equal the dad needs a way to opt out of having to support that child. As far as children who are already living there's a simple solution... give custody to the person with the means to take care of the child. The vast majority of homeless people are men, not women. Why? Because society expects men to get off their butts and work. They don't have easy outs. If you want equality then things need to be balanced. The alternative is to just admit that things aren't ever going to be equal.

The original intent of alimony was to compensate a woman for her services as a homemaker, back in the days when most women didn't work. Granted, times have changed, and alimony needs to be re-evaluated. Child support still tries to provide adequate funds to raise a child, although it often falls short.

10 ReplyI would agree. I would have no interest in a relationship with a feminist. Not interested in someone who professionally plays the victim..

I think you have some unresolved issues haha. I think you need to be accountable and accept responsibility for your actions. Maybe life will get better.
+1 yI don't care. I tell people to their faces. That it was good at one point and I supported until I woke up to the damage it has caused going too far to date. Shame blame won't work on me.

+1 yI like a woman who knows what she wants, is ambitious and hard working in all of her life. I think your question is very biased and agenda based. I don’t like FemNazis but I also don’t hate women who think they should have basic human rights.

They have the same rights everyone else has. If you want to deal with issues of women being oppressed, then visit a third world country. Many truly don't have any rights over there. If they are not willing to address that, then I am afraid it is only pointless virtue signaling and hypocrisy.

A woman can be ambitious and hard working without being misandrist/so-called feminist. You write, " According to many in these forums, women do not deserve to have any rights." Women don't deserve to have more rights than men which is exactly the situation right now. A woman can abort her unborn for ANY reason. A man merely asked his girlfriend about an abortion on day 1 of her pregnancy and a judge ruled that because he asked he would lose parental rights for LIFE and have to pay child support. He does not even have the right to opt out BEFORE the kid is born but she has the right to kill the kid for ANY reason at all. Think about it.

No I mean many people on this site don’t think women should even be able to vote or drive even. Awful.

@DocT1977 that is a straw man argument. Men in third world countries have it harder than men in developed countries. So does that mean men don’t deserve the rights given by their country just because some men live in 3rd world countries? That’s about as preposterous as saying women shouldn’t have rights in developed countries just because 3rd world countries don’t give women the same rights.
