Is being engaged for over 2 years a red flag?

A buddy of mine has been engaged to a girl he is absolutely crazy about for over 2 years. Is this a red flag that something is wrong and they are about to break up?

Does she love him? Do they argue and fight a lot? Has she been cheating on him or vice versa? All those would be red flags. Being together for years is not a red flag in itself, if anything it's the opposite.

It’s pretty long, to be honest every relationship is different and it’s better to take it slow but if you weren’t sure why are you engaged. Engagement means we on the 4 quarter and I’m about to commit. O well
