External external external. According to Mark Twain and Sam Harris, we are made of external factors, we act onto external factors. So free will is an illusion. Lol
I try to everything with forethought! May be there are times I respond to external stimuli without much thought but hopefully those are few and far in between!
I make conscious choices all the time. Every time I get up at 5 AM to go to the gym I am making a choice, to stay in shape or roll over and go back to sleep.
You always have a choice. Many circumstances, though, may limit them in number, scope, direction, etc. "Whether you think you can or you can't you are right." Henry Ford.
There is a part of me that leaks , not really leaks, body fluids. The mini me has draw backs he's blind. Where the base of operations notices parking arrangements who is allowed in my driveway. The lookout my eyes approves all short skirts and tight anything. But my mouth will only respond near gas pumps. Okay yes I'm a freaKing idiot and not trying to show off.
This is a hard one. I think that yes we do some things consciously but then there are things which were like meant to happen and we couldn't do anything about that.
This a very complex topic for most as well as controversial. Being a Christian, I believe we have free will because God said we do. What confuses people is the fact that God knows everything that anyone will ever do, but He does not cause it.

Basically nope. We all trying to survive by instinct

That is an entire field of study. Great question. I think we are all influence by a million things, but I don't know the answer.
Me neither
I believe that everything happens for a reason and our choices and opinions cause a huge ripple affect to the universe and world

I believe in free will but I also believe that our surroundings limit our options sometimes.

Well damn
What did you think?
It makes pretty good sense?
We clearly have the power of choice and free will. Yes, we may be strongly influenced by external stimuli, but we always have the power of choice.
I make conscious choices all the time. Every time I get up at 5 AM to go to the gym I am making a choice, to stay in shape or roll over and go back to sleep.
We do a lot of things out of conscious choice I believe. But admittedly a lot of bad decisions are the result of external stimuli.
Depends on how you look at it. Plus what if our reality is just God's imagination?
That's a good question
i'm wanting divine guidance but my flesh will takes over my choices at the worst possible times
Think that happens to us all at some point in life

I do believe we have conscious choice and free will. We made decisions all the time, big and small.

@Jmmmfi4 what I said
Iād say 50/50. Some choices are of our own will, while others are guided by external factors beyond our own power.
I am almost always reacting to some outside influence... when it's peaceful, so am I. I don't generally impose on others existence
We always have the free will to make our own decisions, unless we are on life support and cannot physically or emotionally make a conscious decision.
Free will yes making multiple choices to the same question or deceived by the power of deception.
