Why does my ex still watch my stories?

With his other exes it was easy for him to just block them all && move on but he knows and has stated I treated him better than his others and we broke up over him getting upset because I wanted him to put in more work into the relationship. He's kept me on friends under everything but has given me the silent treatment expect for him messaging me first thing this morning saying he hopes my day goes well but then won't respond to my messages but reads them ASAP and is the first to watch all my stories but still continues on with the silence. I love him and want him back but I think I hurt his ego when I stated I wanted him to be more goal oriented for our future. I kept telling him I love him and for him to let me know if he doesn't want me so I'll leave him alone (I've left him alone that wasn't coming from a place of despiration. Do you think he'll be back && is just trying to teach me a lesson?
