I unintentionally became someones mistress. He had a wife he never told me about and I found out the better part of a year into the relationship. Honestly in hindsight I'm impressed he managed to keep it going that long, but obviously I was hurt by it.

He told me himself, as he and his wife were going to get a divorce so I suppose he wanted to exchange me in as the newer model and I guess he expected me to be okay with that? Happy about it even?

I kicked him in the balls real hard once he finished talking. Turns out his wife had done the same after he broke up with her not long before so I don't imagine that was fun for him, which is what this question is about. Apparently he's been having some... complications down there since, which was neither of our intentions but I can't say I'm that upset.

Basically my question is was it too far? It was far more of a betrayal for his wife than me, and it wasn't my intention to do any damage but at the same time he deserves it.

Would it be okay for a guy to physically assault a woman for cheating or lying? No... So it's just as wrong for a woman to physically assault a guy for that..
While I understand being hurt, angry, feeling betrayed, it still doesn't justify the level you took it to... He could legally press charges for assault if he chose to... Never let someone have that much control over you that you resort to doing things that aren't right... It can be hard but doing the right thing, even to those that wronged us makes us the bigger/better person

I think you went too far hitting him down there. I think slapping his face or stepping on his foot would have done less damage. What he did was awful but you shouldn't seriously physically harm someone because of it

I am too for the most part, but I do think there's nuance to it. He cheated on his wife and left her pretty much just because he was 'bored of her', and led me along for almost a year as a sorta backup girl.

He even already has kids, so it's not like he's had that taken from him. I don't see how he would have changed his behaviour going forward if he were to just end up single and that's it
