How soon is too soon to introduce young children to new people your dating?

ok so the reason I ask this is my ex introduced our 5 yo that had ASD to his new "freind" and her daughter, in my opinion way to soon. Not just at the park.. at her house. They have been seeing each other for just under a month. We had a previous discussion regarding this subject prior to my ex meeting her. When we met someone we would wait for it to be at a more solidified stage before introducing our son to potential long term partner to avoid our son getting attached to someone that won't be around long.
How long would you wait to introduce your child to a new potential partner?

Each situation is different.

It's important to get to know someone before you introduce them to your kids. But you also need to see how they are around your kids before committing to them.

One of my work colleagues was seeing a guy for 6 months before she intoduced him to her son. The first time, they got on great. The second time , the guy became angry and irritated at her son when he asked the same question, twice. He wasn't someone she'd trust around her son, so she ended it with him. She hadn't seen that side of him in all the 6 months of being with him.

Don’t introduce children to random people if you know that you’re not in it for the long run with whoever you’re talking to.

I don't really think it matters as long as the relationship is serious and likely to be long-term.

Yeah if I was assured it would be long term, but he's currently just "rolling with it, and seeing what happens".
