Are guys ever wrong when they say “when you know, you know”?

Kind of reaching.
My ex started dating someone immediately after we broke up and they’ve been together for 6 months.

I recently moved a lot closer and didn’t give any impression or say anything about getting back together. But he felt compelled to tell me that in a couple months they might move in together and be engaged or married. He then said when you know you know.

He’s Christian and is waiting for marriage. They also haven’t lived together yet. From what I understand they’re going to need to have a lot of compromise once they live together (she’s messy, he’s OCD, neither of them cook, he’s tends to runs away once things get tough, he doesn’t want kids she does, etc)

I’ve already started my journey in moving on. I am talking to new people.
I’m just curious are guys ever wrong?

Lol 98% of the time there wrong.
But here's the deal it's not about him it's about you this is your journey this is about you are you going to make the mistake and wait for him or you going to make the mistake of getting back together or trying to because it will end up the same way it ended up before but worse this is about you and your strength to move on you're straight to find somebody new it will give you what he can give you and be much more mature about it this is about you letting go and starting life again a bigger better more productive more powerful beautiful bike together with somebody new
Don't worry you're going to get the opportunity you're going to get the chance to make that choice to hold yourself back again. Or to move forward and find happiness

He probably is quite wrong. From your description, neither of them sounds like they are anywhere near mature enough to make a successful marriage, and "he doesn’t want kids she does" should be a deal-breaker for both of them. They are not in love with each other, just with the idea of being married.

If they do marry, I'm setting the over/under at 2 years. If she does get pregnant, I feel sorry for the child.
