Why most girls become jealous of the ex girlfriends of their current boyfriend?

Guys who are on speaking terms with their ex girlfriend normally want their current girlfriend to at least get to know there ex girlfriend. Yet I find that girls do not behave well with the ex. Just why? Isn't she the ex, after all? The relationship is over. What is their to be jealous about?

A person should not still be in contact with their exes if they want a successful relationship. You are trying to make a friendship out of someone that has had sex with you and romantic feelings for you, it doesn’t work like that
