My fiancée is a bit lazy round the house and his one job he is meant to do is take the trash out. He didn’t do it and something in there stank so I said “would you mind taking the trash out” but I was tired and probably sounded a bit angry. He did it straight away but the smell in the house was making me sick.
Later he said he thought he annoyed me sometimes. I said yes! But that’s normal in a relationship. He then joked I was falling out of love with him and I said that’s obviously not the case! Felt a bit unfair really…
anyway! I hated the thought of him feeling that way so the next night I surprised him when he came home with a room full of candles and the table set with rose petals and tea lights and heart chocolates and a three course dinner. I said I wanted a nice more romantic night. WELL! I regretted saying that. Because he said it’s still romantic now and made a joke that I might have been thinking “please still love me”!! I kinda thought that was projection because it was him who had said the previous night he thought I was falling out of love with him. He then made some comment whilst having dinner about seeing some girl in a car with oversized lips who looked at him 🙄 but he wanted to wind the window down and say “my girl is all natural and you look ridiculous”. I have no idea why he brought that up at the dinner table.
Im usually really good at analysing things like this but it’s hard because it’s concerning me. Can someone please help?
