(for example, some people might cheat with a celebrity if given the chance and knowing they wouldn’t get caught. (Unrealistic I know) but I’m pretty sure at least half of people would cheat with least one other person on the planet if given the chance. (Even if they might regret it later)

I'm pretty sure I wouldn't. I've had my chances. When you're a drinker like me spending lots of time in bars, you don't have to be a hunk to find some extremely flirty and attractive tipsy young women here and there. I find I have a habit of instinctually talking about how much I love my wife in those moments, even when I'm intoxicated, and introducing those women to my single guy friends like, "Here, you can have her!"

I would like to think it's because I'm such a noble and ethical person. But I haven't always been in other cases. For example, I'm still struggling to quit drinking even though I know it brings out my inner idiot. If I was a more moral person, I would have quit already.

I think that helps in my case is that I dated around a lot before I found my wife. It was always really exciting to remove a new woman's clothes for the first time, but there was always a lot of work leading up to and after that point. I had enough fun with that already for a lifetime and I no longer think the work is worth it. I only need to look down at my wedding ring to remember I have the best waiting for me at home.

This is reassuring.. I've been married almost 9 years and my husband likes to drink, especially weekends. I partied enough in my 20's so it is no longer appealing to me, but he still drinks and I wonder sometimes if he would cheat on me. @TransAm85 Cheers! I am a software engineer. I also don't have an Instagram account or porno account or any of those things I see people complaining about on here. If my morals are strong enough here, I always saw my ultimate job in this life to protect my wife and family. I even associate my ideas of manliness most to that. To cheat on my wife and hurt her that way, even if she never caught me, would be the worst thing I could possibly ever do. It would be the opposite of protecting her, and one of the biggest ways to fail as I see it as a man.

No. But that said, my advice to young guys is.. don't cheat but also don't act like you're married when you're not. Which means, if your girlfriend is not good enough then dump her. Don't keep a relationship going just for the sake of having a relationship.

I would never cheat. I can say that in confidence. I've been asked this before and I'll say the same thing again, no celeb is worth ruining something with someone you love. We don't know celebs, they're just normal people who are attractive, they're still strangers to us if we meet them.

Its one thing to fantasise about someone while they're on a screen, and another to want to have sex with them when they are a real person in front of you.

It's easy to talk and claim how perfect we all are, and say we will never cheat.
But once you find yourself a person that you connect to emotionally to a certain level, and you know that no matter what happens the truth will never see light. Then most people will cheat, especially if they are right next to that person and the person wants exactly the same thing.

When people are put in the heat of the moment and they know for a fact that the truth will not see the light. It only comforts them to do it, they lose control of themselves no matter how much control they think they have over themselves.
When they are put next to the person they want or are emotionally connected, at the heat of the moment when you are so close, it is close to impossible.
Not saying it is impossible, but they are it is highly unlikely that nothing will happen.

I feel like I’m order to cheat u have to have low self esteem. You shouldn’t even have gotten to the point where u both have a “deep emotional connection”. ATP you would have already cheated, just emotionally which is just as bad, if not worse than sexually cheating. Cheating is selfish and degrading to everyone involved. It makes absolutely no sense why anyone would seek a person already involved rather than explore other available options. No excuse.

Sorry I’m just really sensitive/ get triggered by stuff like this bc I’ve been emotionally cheated on 3 separate times. So yes, given the right circumstance and the right people (ones lacking self control) it happens. I still think it can be avoided tho.

I always find it interesting how people are so insistent that they won't cheat and they hate people who do, and yet I've seen firsthand how many people, women expecially are ready to step out behind their partner's back.

i am single but recently met someone just an average guy and sparks flew from the second we met possibly a twin flame thing, we became best friends but in the end cheating with a married guy wouldn't be fair to his wife or myself. just not worth it to me, even if i wouldn't get caught i would still know. i told him if its meant to be we'll meet again sometime under different circumstances
