Have you ever been in a rebound relationship? We’re you the one searching for a rebound partner or we’re you the rebound partner? Was it solely based on sex? Did it last long?
I haven’t been in a rebound relationship, but it would kill me if I was the rebound partner… Typically rebound relationships are based on sex and don’t last long. I would feel hurt.
nope... there's been two different times before in which I met someone, and we were intrigued and interested on one another... we really liked each other, so there was plenty of potential there but, both of them were open and honest (and I could tell as well) that they had been out of a relationship recently enough for them to have some sort of reserve or mixed feelings about going into another one
and then we just decided it was best not to mess with something like that, at least not at the time being, and they were not about "just sex" both times, with the two of them... the interest for something more was there as potential, we just didn't go for it because it didn't feel right... it just wasn't the right timing
I'm still acquainted with both, and we have friends in common as well... so we bump into each other from time to time... no big deal, they went on and had their relationships while I had mine as well
there's been a couple of times in which someone broke up with their partners and then they yes, were looking for a quick "rebound fun" that it was merely for sex, so they saw me or knew about me (when I was single) and suggested for some of that, but I just don't do that kind of stuff... I've never had sex with anybody just for the sake of having some great sex and that's it... it's just not for me... lol
I have never been the one who "just broke up", but I have dated a couple of women had had just broke up with their partners. The first one really wasn't honest with me about it as she told me that she was long divorced. (It wasn't true.) That was based on sex and I was around 28 at the time. It didn't work out at all and we only dated maybe 2 months at the most.
The other time when I was 30, I dated a lady who was too freshly out of a relationship. This time it was not based on sex at all, but she was pathologically clingy and it was so uncomfortable dating her.
Needless to say, I am very reluctant to get into a rebound relationship now!! LOL

I was the rebound (but I didn’t realize it at first), he moved super quick with the relationship even saying I love you after only the first two weeks and it was my first real relationship so even though it made me uncomfortable I didn’t think much of it. We ended up lasting for 5 years though lol
It never really turned into a relationship, but I was definitely a rebound. No doubt there. I knew what I was getting into before I did which made it easy to handle.
A guy tried to date me after his girlfriend dumped him because he wanted me to make him feel attractive but I turned him down.

No. Plenty of so called friends thought I was. And kept spreading stuff around - Which was dumb.
I had a small crush on a girl. After spending some time with her, she started getting lazy about keeping up appearances, and she started showing herself to be someone who I shouldn’t really be interested in… I lost all interest (and most respect) for her. She was not such a good person. I moved on.
About a month or two later, another friend told me she was interested, so I decided to give it a try. It did not work (she had too many issues), but hey, I gave it a shot. No worries.
It had been years since I dated anyone. I wasn’t interested in anyone. It MIGHT have been a rebound for the now ex, but I don’t think so. But that doesn’t stop some people from chattering away and trying to start drama where none existed.
I'm pretty sure rebound relationships are just those that start pretty close to the end of the previous one... the sexual incentive part is an aside.
But yeah, I'm technically in a 'rebound relationship' atm. No, it's not based solely on sex- we've been together for almost eight months and going strong.
Mine is going strong aswell a year and 7 months and still enjoying the chatting and laughing together aswell as the sex but it's not about that it's about connection and feeling valued I think good luck to you xx
Yeah, after my first real love broke my heart I went off the rails for a bit and dated a few girls to try and make myself feel better. I was young and stupid and thought that was the way to mend my heart, obviously it wasn't. None of the relationship lasted past a couple of months, and yes they were mostly based around sex, because ultimately I wasn't emotionally available at that point, I just didn't realise it at the time.
The picture breaks my heart. Ex crying while her man is having cheap, erotic relations with someone he cares nothing about. Rebound 🪃 sex is like a boomerang 🪃. It will cum back too nail you in the knards if your not careful. Sex should be more than just physical release in a relationship. Mutual respect should be an important factor. Caring about each other's feelings should be a factor as well. Treating each other humanely is a good thing.
Yes. I once dated a woman who had been recently divorced. Her ex-husband had an affair with his secretary and they were about to get married. I didn't realize this right away, although I did notice that she was anxious to have sex... lots of it. The relationship only lasted a couple months.
I am not sure I even believe in the concept of rebound relationships. I have broken up with somebody and date somebody else the next day. I don't think it was a rebound relationship. I decided not to call somebody anymore after taking this girl to a concert. The next day I met my future wife. She was not a rebound relationship either.

Yea a couple times. But if your smart you don't do it with someone you care for that much. Just a friend. You'll be sick of them soon enough lol.
Just have a good time and use eachother to get past your shit. And talk about your ex's too. It is a really good way to have an honest conversation that can be useful to both sides and it kills the relationship vibe while getting you comfortable with eachother at the same time.

I have also and it was mainly just about sex and having someones company. I know this is selfish but also helped with my confidence and gave me validation that I will not be single forever and will meet someone again. Open communication is important. I let the guy know from the start it will not be anything serious and it helped both of us not form an emotional attachment.
As a young teen I couldn’t stand to be alone, I was very codependent. I was never single for more than a week. I would bounce from relationship to relationship. After 15 I was in a relationship for 3 years and when that ended, I decided it was finally time to focus on myself and stop being so codependent. So I was single for a year and a half, and I learnt that rebound relationships had never actually been any good for me, they only made my love life messier.
I was the rebound. It lasted about a year. I am fairly certain that for her it was just the sex. She would complain whenever I wanted us to actually go anywhere to do anything, and was usually trying to get me into bed whenever the two of us were home together. It wasn't healthy, when she told me that all I was good for was being the best fuck, I left.
I’ve never rebounded, but the guy I had been dating half a year ago rebounded from his ex with me, and then proceeded to rebound after me with another poor girl... Some guys never learn 🤷🏼♀️💔
Can't always assume people have rebounded as people cheat and split with their partner then live with the other person shouldn't it also be rebound if that's the case?

Yes I was in one before and I was the "rebound partner". It was mainly for sex and when I found that out we broke up. But he apologized and explained himself. So we ended up becoming friends with benefits instead.

It was a huge mistake and it lasted less than a week before shit finally hit the fan. He sexually assaulted me on what was supposed to be a "platonic outing" and that's when things got messy.
