Me and my ex broke up a few months ago, at first we still hooked up and texted frequently but misunderstanding came about and we began to argue more and it has become a bit of a toxic situation for both of us; we have both agreed to try to be friends (we’ve said this before but also reverted back to hooking up) except this time we set boundaries like stopping all relationship-type behaviors and no serious conversations when drunk. In reference to stopping relationship behaviors, my ex said he thinks engaging in them make it “harder to move forward”. Is there any difference between moving on and moving forward? Is one better than the other in terms of remaining on good terms/remaining open to each other? Thanks for your input
