I don't even have a password on my phone because I only use if for calling, texting and taking photos.
My wife uses hers a lot more. She accesses apps, reads articles, watches podcasts, and uses it for business. I know her password for emergencies, but I have no interest at all in checking up on her. We trust each other.
She also has a laptop for business, as well as an iPad that she uses for the same things as her phone. I assume they are password protected in case they get lost or stolen.
My only other device is a password protected laptop. I spend a lot of time on it doing all kinds of things. It contains a lot of passwords and financial information that I wouldn't want getting into the wrong hands.
But again, neither of us has any interest in spying on each other. We tell each other everything anyway.
Going through someone's device would be like going through a woman's purse or reading someone's personal journal. Creepy as fuck. That kind of person can't be trusted. I'd tell a distrustful control freak like that to fuck themselves.
One of my ex's did she stopped after a couple weeks realising I really don't use my phone that often lmao. Which I already told her kinda pointless since I don't but go ahead.
I really don't care. Because I have nothing to hide at all. My boyfriend can go through my phone if he wants to. He never does but he's more than welcome to pick it up and read everything I write a thing or everything I've ever written
Personally wouldn’t mind it but I know some people do, I think that there is nothing I can say to a friend that I wouldn’t to my boyfriend unless I feared their judgment which isn’t good.
