I often don't take as a good sign from anyone who trash talks their previous partners. Especially when they bring it up to their current partner.
It's not a good sign of maturity, in my opinion. It's okay if you're sharing a story, an experience you had... very different to still somehow engage in any capacity with the person you claim to hate.

And regardless of the context, the very fact you're talking about someone that much is an obvious sign that you haven't forgotten the person. Otherwise why would it be a common topic?

I'm just a stranger online who knows jack shit about y'all dynamic, but I can assure you that's not normal and a really bad sign of their character. That's as much you need to know to question if you should stick around these people.
