In a romantic relationship, which sort of person are you while you are dating/married?

Dependent: You prefer to be supportive role for your man/woman, if you need money or emotional support you hopefully can relay on your romantic partner. You realistically ain't the most self sufficient person but you are definitely one of the sweetest people and you can give people emotional assistance especially for your partner.

Independent: You the kind of man/woman who doesn't enjoy relaying on others to give you a life. Instead of needing your partner to help with money issues you prefer to be the person who makes his/her own money. You are definitely really self sufficient and definitely more assertive compared to your partner. But despite being very focused on yourself you ain't exactly the most friendliest individual who technically wouldn't be the best when it comes to emotional support because your personality is way too dominant for any support roles.

So basically my question to any men and women out there if you wind up in a relationship but in the relationship you have to become one of these which type of lover are you? Are you the dominant alpha male/female who prefer to take up the leadership role and try to earn the bacon for your honey?

Or all you the type who wants to play as the submissive in the relationship be the gentleman/lady who would be willing to give emotional comfort and help your partner in being the follower in exchange you don't have to worry about making money because your partner is earning money for the both of y'all?

I have never been in a relationship (out of four of them I had) in which love was about money... not from these approaches in which " I money, I alpha, I rule... kneel/walk behind me "

love was love... and never about money, that being said, I have never either been one to "have to" provide all the money, everyone I've been with has had their jobs/career/or business and have been self-sufficient as I have been as well

we never happened to plan any of this either, we all just happened to be on going on our own, and not to "rely" on others, so I know well that I would never want to rely on someone else for what I consider my own responsibility, now... if somehow I end up in a relationship in which I'd have to be the provider of income for the family as a whole, I would not have a problem doing this, as long as this is just what's needed for us to have it the best we can have it... and I'm still not going to make it a thing about " I rule, you follow" that's just cringe to me... lol

I was normally very emotionally supportive and would also baby the guy and buy him lots of things. Not really my style now. I’d prefer we’re doing our own thing financially and that we show eachother an equal amount of emotional support. Quality time, words of affirmation, and having eachothers back when one of us are the odd one out in a crowd are extremely important… and if the relationship lacks that then I’m out

I will not depend more on my partner than he depends on me.. I lean to being independent but over time the relation will normally build to be more dependent on each other.

Neither. My wife and I are equal partners. Our incomes are mutual and go to paying our bills and increasing savings for our future. It doesn't matter who earns more. We discuss expenditures on most things. We don't hide anything from each other.
We both work hard.
Both of us are independent minded and can be bull headed. Neither is the boss of the other. But we have good communication and make compromises when necessary. We want each other's happiness.

I am independent and would only become dependent on a partner if something goes seriously bad in life. I would never give up leadership of my life, I however do not need to control my partner any such actions should be because she wants to contribute, and if she doesn't then she is a bad pick.

I'm mostly independent but more of a supportive role, I'll always be there for the other person emotionally and in marriage or long term commitment financially, but I prefer someone who is the same as me and not reliant on me for everything.
