In my opinion, self love isn’t enough. What do you think?

When someone is lonely, he’s often told “you need to live yourself first”.

But strangely, i’ve never met a person that loves herself. When these people got in a relationship, their lives became way better than before, especially if they were lonely before. I’ve lost so many friends when they all found a special girl for them.

And i’m lonely. I’m just 19, yeah, but i’m still lonely anyway. I want to live my life, make experiences, be in a relationship. Being chosen by a girl, for who you are… that has to feel incredible.

Self love is pure bullshit

Most people are in relationships just for the sake of it, or not to be alone.
Is it really what you want? How many of those couples are actually happy and not just faking it for the public?
Self-love is knowing what you want, having boundaries and being able to communicate them and not sacrificing yourself for others.
Basically putting yourself first. It might sound selfish but it is really not because you will make better choices in life.

Self-Love as the filler for Peace is mirage

What you are seeking is a Peace that passers all understanding and fills that gaping hole 🕳 inside you. Self-inclined perspective uses Stuff from sports, woman/man, rental properties, travel, boats etc., to fill the hole. Status and Power usually leads to a larger hole as there is always someone superior by which another measures themselves by. I’m not lacking in Christ Jesus though.
—As image bearers we are designed to seek God. So much so that everyone has a false “religion” or spirituality they seek. From Humanistic Secularism to hedonism to other false global religions etc Only one means to Inner Peace exists.
We know right vs wrong but yet we do wrong and often enjoy it. Those wrong-doings In and Through Christ Jesus are atoned for or reconciled. Once one reconciles with God, through Christ Jesus as Savior and Lord, then Peace Is. An inner sense of stability and peaceful assurance from Jesus’ work at the Cross.
It doesn’t mean life suddenly becomes good or 💩 doesn’t fall into one’s lap. Since I’m In Christ Jesus, I have the ability, capacity, and proper perspective as pertains to the little things that occur in this world. I know that I am justified unto Him, sanctified, and will be glorified as Son/Daughter of God. I have a heavenly Kingdom perspective and know this world, in all its falseness, is not heavenly in its nature.
