How can you be ''the love of their life'' if you're gonna dump them anyways?

I've heard these known phrases too many times.
''You're the love of my life''
''You're my soulmate''
''We're meant to be forever''

You're going to dump them anyways so what was all that enery, talk and time spend for? It doesn't make sense to be someone's ''soulmate'' but only be their temporarily girlfriend/boyfriend that can be replaced any moment. There is nothing holding you together without kids... nothing. Total waste of time. Too much for nothing.

Yeah those phrases mean absolutely nothing. Yeah you can love someone to death and want to be with them, but at the end of the day things can change and no amount of
sweet-ums can change how another feels or what they do of their feelings change.

I'm willing to bet the couples who actually settle down and had kids aren't too much into lovebombing BS. They don't say much, they are straight to the point and into actions, realistic goals and not empty ''one day, ''oh my love'' empty words with no plans.

- Are his words followed by actions (ex: he promises a vacation next month and he does that)?

I met him 3 years ago
We were dating for a few months before he asked me to be his girlfriend. Then a couple days or weeks later he says "what you think about having my last name" weve been dating for 2 years now living together for 1 year. Wow... so he always does what he says and promises right now we are saving up for 3 vacations. He always brings me around his family and talks about me to his friends but gets a little nervous when others question him about when he's marrying me. He cooks and very much cleans around the house. he's always down to go on dates and adventures with me... dang... he's really amazing but let me know what you think

If you're between ages 30-35 then you don't really have much time if you want kids after getting married. If you've been in the dating stage for 3 years that's enough time for him to decide already. The moving in together part tends to slow things and makes more men get too comfortable and take too much time.
As much as you care for him, he's sweet, he's taking you on trips and is promising many times, while you're still just his girlfriend, without a timeframe established, without a ring in your finger and no wedding set... you're not getting nothing out of all that.

Have you expressed to him that you're ready in another year? If not then he's going to take whatever time till he's finally ready or he won't come around. Many men like to take all their time if the woman doesn't establish a timeframe.
