The other night we were drinking with friends, it was me, my boyfriend, my boyfriends best friend (I'll call him H) and the fiance of H I'll call her (F)..
We were joking around and F blurted out to my boyfriend something like ' don't make me tell her that time you went to a gambling place and told me not to tell her) .. I asked what she meant and she told me one time her fiance H and my boyfriend went out and lied that they were going on a walk, when in reality they went to a gambling place.. F figured it out as she lives with H and apon finding out my boyfriend specifically told F not to tell me
When I asked why my boyfriend felt the need to lie he was like because its funny, it's just what men do and it's sort of like ' haha I'm going to the pub without the wives knowing sort of thing '
I mean fair enough, we don't always tell each other what we're up to and I don't expect him too.. its just the lie that bugs me, like I honestly don't get what the need for it is and why the guys would find it funny keeping secrets from us no matter how small they are? I don't do this
I spoke to him about it, he told me I'm blowing it out of proportion and its just what guys do.. am I? Because now I'm feeling like I am and that I'll just have to put up with it
