Boyfriend needs more intimacy?

I’ve been in a relationship with this guy for a year now. He’s a great guy but recently we’ve been having a bit of issues. For him he wants more intimacy and more secks. For me I’m starting to feel I need more time for myself to get my life and get back to being in school full time. I don’t feel I’m neglecting him. I see him 5-6 times a week. I cook for him, sometimes clean. We go to sleep together. Secks is usually 2-3 a week. & I usually see him right after work. When he’s ready to go to sleep, even if I’m not. I still go to sleep so we can cuddle. When he wants attention I give him that. But looking back I really hadn’t gotten anything done for myself as an individual. I understand when you’re in a relationship it’s not about just you. But I feel like this is becoming a huge burden for me being in school. In order to even take more than 1 class. I 100% need more time after work to do homework. & him asking for more intimacy and secks when I give him so much already… I really just don’t know what to say or do. I really do care about him but it’s feeling like a lot

You need to start scheduling Sex. Right now with school you are getting busy and will start to resent the attention you give to him if you don’t get better organized. So pick two nights each week to be intimate and allow sex to occur. Then pick 3 nights a week when you do homework and be independent. That way he knows you still prioritize him and he will better predict when you are busy. Plus it leaves 2 free nights to still be spontaneous.


Of course talk to him regularly to see if this is working but you can’t keep going like you are because it will only harm the relationship.

I recommend that you substantially reduce the amount of sex he is permitted to receive, while at the same time insisting he contribute much more time, effort and enthusiasm towards the chores that you need done.
