Why do cheaters bother staying in their relationships? aren’t they better off just being single?

I’ve never understood why cheaters still remain in their relationships when they’re choosing to regularly cheat on their partner.

I would assume that if someone is cheating on their partner so often, they clearly must not be fully happy with their relationship & are seeking something elsewhere. So it looks like they’re just taking different bits & pieces from multiple girls to fulfil different desires.

So I don’t get it. If they’re cheating they must not love or respect their partner, which means they don’t respect them enough to talk about what might be missing from their relationship that they could fix.

But at the same time, in a way it kinda does look like they still love or have some respect or interest in their partner, because if they’re choosing to stay with them instead of breaking up with them & being single, there must be something that the partner has that makes them wanna stay right? But is that love?
