My boyfriend sometimes tells me ‘he’ll let me know’ which dates he are available instead of making concrete plans?

This is starting to annoy me abit but I’m not sure if I’m overreacting. My boyfriend asked me if I am free this weekend and I said yes and asked him if he’d like to hang out on Saturday or Sunday. He told me ‘I’ll let you know’. I’m just worried he’s seeing me as a last option , and that he might be waiting on his friends to see if they want to go out. What do you think?

To me yep he’s doing that. He asked if you’re available then said hold on I’ll let you know? He’s checking other plans. Otherwise he would’ve committed immediately. If anything he should say “cool I want to hang out but waiting on my buddy to about plans we had and not sure the day he chose but for sure I’ll be coming over” I don't know something like that.
