I'm still close to my ex's family. And now my new husband interacts with them as well. I would have to let this one slide because to him she is still considered family. But there's nothing wrong with you telling him because of his indiscretion in the past, it's important for him to always be completely honest.
I have had my sins father have an affair and almost leave me for the woman. Then 3 years later he lied about loaning money to a female co-worker from his taxes that was suppose pay for the new phones we just got and school close for our kids. He lied and said the credit card company garnished his taxes. He cried to me on the phone telling me this and of course I told him we would figure it out. I ended up having to borrow money from my dad to pay for our phones.
My dad asked me if I was sure my husband was being honest. And right away without hesitation said of course he's being honest. But in my head I was suspicious. So I decided to ask my husband for the payment receipt from the credit card company so I can put it in our files that it's paid. He Said ok. But that night he was holding me and kept sighing. I knew he was going to confess. I just didn't know what the truth was going to be. That's when he told me that his female coworker said she was gonna get evicted if she didn't give them $800. So he gave it to her. I told him I want to talk to her and he wouldn't let me. And after trying to live with it for 6 months secretly crying everyday I finally told my husband it's over. I forgave the first time but couldn't trust there was nothing between him and his co-worker. And honestly it brought my self esteem so low because I wondered what was wrong with me that he couldn't stay faithful.
