Sorry to say it but I don't really get it. I guess I'm more "traditional" in that regard. I just don't get how this can be healthy or desirable in romantic life, or how it could work out long term. What if someone gets pregnant for example? I don't think being married to multiple people is very good
I think polygamy is generally fine, and maybe even a good idea in today's times. My logic is that there are so few good dating options, especially good options for women, that most women are basically going through life extraordinarily unfulfilled emotionally. From that standpoint, it's probably better for multiple women to share one desirable man than it is for every woman to lock down a man for herself when that man doesn't really satisfy her needs.
In Muslim countries (as I understand), a man is permitted to take a second wife if his first cannot bear him a male child. he is allowed to repeat this until he has 4 wives.
I guess if thats normal in a culture, it is understandable but for cultures where it is not "standard" its a pretty weird concept. Not for me, I'm married (to one person!) but 100% id sooner be single than married to 4 people!

I think it's great. My wife and I aren't having kids so that's not an issue and the journey to find the right person for a triad has been wonderful. Made a lot of friends that we still keep in touch with.
Well, it is supposed to be more Darwinian than monogamy. In a society that practices polygamy the alpha beings of either gender would have their genes distributed the most
It's not romantic. If you are in a relationship with a few people you can't give your full love to anyone.
I think it should be legal and accepted.

Is there ANY benefit to a woman of having a polygamous marriage? Maybe not having to be the one to satisfy all of the husbands sexual needs? That's all I can think of.
