Why do millenial and gen z women hate men that are closed to their mothers?

I understand that nobody likes a momma's boy because most of them are weak and dependable but it seems like women from my generation and beyond find men being closed to their mothers (still not in the same level as an actual momma's boy) a major turn off.

for example they dont like men who

  • show too much affection to their mothers
  • maintain a consistent connection with their mothers
  • want to bring their mothers along to many events

and the list goes on. I mean it doesn't seem like this with women who are from the other generation. in fact I hear baby boomer mothers claim that they are turned on by men who love their mothers because they claim these men have good heart and are capable of also being good husband. not sure why but I really dont see any connections.

till then why do women nowadays hate men who are too close to their mothers? is it because...

  • they see these men as weaklings?
  • they are jealous and fear these men will dedicate more time to their moms then them?
  • they find their mothers annoying?
