Why do people way over think what a girl or guy does, then come on GaG for the answers?

I think part of this has to do with a generation raised with much less real human interaction without the screen as a medium of communication. If most communication is text, it definitely leaves room for interpretation and ambiguity that in-person interaction with body language does not.

It's definitely overthinking, particularly from young girls, but some boys as well. Very little context is given, and it usually means attraction. They may be looking for reassurance. We really should have a "What does it mean" category, lol.

I think a lot of people do. I’m pretty situationally aware or try to be. I like to know if someone seems to be a threat. If someone might be flirting with me. Things like that. If someone seems vulnerable if something bad was to happen.

rhe list goes on. It’s normal to think these things and even if you’re not consciously thinking it you probably are sub consciously.

@sage2021 What really happened was that I was hanging out with this girl. I really liked her and really thought that she liked me too. Still I was too afraid to admit it. After a while she went out with this other guy so I had to either put up or shut up.
