Is she really into him or leading him on? Why do I feel a weird vibe about her?

I have a male friend who recently started seeing someone. I was super happy for him. At first she seemed nice. But now I have a weird vibe about her. He really likes her but she gives him mixed signals and she had said she needed time to consider dating him. He thinks she wants to date around. I encouraged him to talk to her and see why she felt that way. Still she was sure if she wanted to date but she still flirts. Now it seems like she wants his help all the time and it looks like it benefits only her. Where his skills are being wanted more than her liking him whether as a friend or more. Why do I feel like she has motives that are only to boost her image. I don't want to tell him that I think she's using him but could it be that? What do you guys think? All advice is very much appreciated 😊
